I have a Nano and just got two Ledger Nano S.

Go with a Ledger Nano S you won't regret it.

I'm thinking of buying hardware wallet and the choice is naturally between Trezor and Ledger Nano S.How much I can see the difference is in design and price. As far as designs are concerned, both of them are quite okay for me and the only thing that makes me the difference is price which is on the side of Ledger.I see there is option for promo code in Ledger page for a discount, was there anything like that lately?

I don't know about the Ledger... but I recently received an Email from Trezor saying they have cheaper postage options to some locations (free to EU etc), and a promo code for €10 off the purchase price... making them €79/each + shipping.

Thank you for this info,I just check on Trezor site and it is true that they have free shipping to EU,but promo code is working just for next purchase. In total price for Trezor is 107.69 EUR including VAT 21%.

On the other side Ledger Nano S is in total with shipping and tax 84.18 EUR.There is a difference in VAT(Value Added Tax) between EU countries and between certain types of products. In this case Trezor is sending from Czech Republic and Ledger from France.

I got involved with Cryptocurrencies about 4 months ago and have seen my enthusiasm for the tech grow along with my small stash of BTC + Alts. I was thinking about getting a Trezor or Nano S, leaning toward the Nano.  Was wondering if the community strongly suggests the little fish invest in a hardware wallet or if they are not necessary.

Thanks in advance!

i would like to buy trezor because it is up coming wallet and it has great security. so i want to prefer to this. trezor is support to all major coins so try to take this once. in the markets more wallets are available but trezor is the best for maintain security. so choose it.

I have a Trezor. The wait time for a Nano was saying 5-6 weeks. I'm happy with it so far  - hopefully, they will support NEO soon. I like the passphrase (25th seed) feature it has - which the Nano doesn't have. They might be adding it soon

Your statement doesn't make any sense.
Both the hardware wallets are just as secure if not more, and have friendly UIs.

With the firmware version 1.3.1, all ledger wallets support "Advanced Passphrase" feature that acts just like the 25th seed in Trezor. It scrambles 24 seeds that are in use and generates a new identity with a passphrase. Its like having multiple wallets on a single device.

The Ledger passphrase feature also has a neat option where you can assign a different PIN to the passphrase. So you don't need to enter that passphrase at all, you simply enter your normal PIN to access default wallet, or enter 2nd PIN to access the "hidden" wallet associated with the passphrase Wink

Makes it a little faster/easier to use in my opinion.

Having said that, buy either the Trezor One or the Ledger Nano S... Or both... They're both excellent and work well. Smiley

I would strongly suggest using trezor why because they accept the highest value coin in the cryptocurrency whichnis the bitcoin and ethereum because if you are new at the trading block like me most of us would prefer buying and selling of the popular coins because they are the one's who are proven and tested.
