you know what happened to original youtube?
they were broke because traffic and hosting was too expensive so google stepped in. How do you want to solve this problem? With a fee you have to pay for each video?
Not really a big idea just a day dream.....
I believe there are definite ways to work around it. If you have a video platform that secures it's users and creators in a cryptocurrency, it would be possible subsidize funds from the platform to facilitate hosting.
I don't want to bust any bubbles but I did believe there are a couple of websites like this. I'm not sure how popular they got in the end but in saying that they never made there own coin they instead used the tipping system for dogecoin and Bitcoin .
That's where they went wrong - Instead there should be a completely separate token made by the platform. No one would have to pay any money or fees for tipping creators either if every user's webpage acted as a miner. Every token mined by the users themselves can bee evenly distributed upon total active users - creating a fair distribution of wealth, while creators can be rewarded by users for good content. - this means no advertisers and no adpocalypse.
