Author Topic: what to buy ? 1060 3g or 6g ? or 1070 ? Already have a rig with 4 1070 and 1 580  (Read 292 times)

Hi bitcointalk fam ,
I already have a running rig , It has 4 1070 8g cards and 1 rx 580 card , i still have a place in the motherboard , and not alot of money to spend , specially cuz mining nowadays not making good profits , need to mine and hold .

I don't know what to get

i see theres 1060 3g with good deals
zotac 1060 3g for 195$

These days RX series became easy to purchase, I personally recommend AMD GPUs.
But among those cards I recommend 1060 6gb, which has best cost efficiency.
3GB version has limited life for mining ethereum because of increasing DAG size.

But among those cards I recommend 1060 6gb, which has best cost efficiency.

TBH, there is literally no huge difference in hash rates between 1060 6GB or 3GB. My Zotac 3GB Mines at 270 sol/s while Zotac 6GB Mines at 280 sol/s. Moreover, the difference of price point between these two was 75 USD.
I don't think they are worth the price. Go with 3GB if they are really cheap.
