There's a lot of relevant news to us all today, as Bitcoin raises above 5,000 US dollars in value for the first time ever!

One of the core problems that Wishcoin solves is providing charities within the European Union a digital method of fundraising in the upcoming era of GDPR legislation, introduced next year.

On 25 May 2018, the most significant piece of European data protection legislation to be introduced in 20 years will come into force. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the 1995 EU Data Protection Directive. The GDPR strengthens the rights that individuals have regarding personal data relating to them and seeks to unify data protection laws across Europe, regardless of where that data is processed.

Charities the world over are always seeking additional funding streams, yet it is ever more pressing for those based, or trading within Europe as the wide reaching GDPR legislation is due to take effect in May 2018, which could drastically reduce charities capabilities to fundraise.

We see this as an opportunity to increase the confidence and demand of Wishcoin adoption, in order to reach our goals of raising billions for charities around the world.
