Mastertrader posting shit. We will sort out Permissions.

ButterRose is no longer involved with this project, according to the new devs.
**edited
ButterRose is actually back on the project, just didn't post today.

ButterRose did not post today, it was mastertrader777 asking to be promoted to mod on the discord channel.

New devs seem legit, and are working on resolving the mastertrader777 problem.

It appears he's trying to drive the price down.

Wake up, ButterRose has always been Mastertrader777, not just that one post. This has been pointed out time and time again. The whole thing was a huge P&D clone coin scam, it's just as I and other "fud" guys have been saying for weeks.

Here's the deal - an open source project is a community effort. It's open to all, and sometimes, up to the community to make it better.
There are scammers and unscrupulous people involved in EVERY coin, and it's actually pretty easy to take a project like this an turn it around.
It just takes effort.

So, be a part of the effort to move it forward and eventually push out the riff-raf.
Spin-up another block explorer and/or put some wallets/masternodes online to help stabilize the network.
The forks will pass, as they have with almost EVERY OTHER COIN.

Github and wallet downloads are here:
https://github.com/davembg/xios

Block explorer is here:
http://xios.donkeypool.com:3000

I wish you luck, but I fear you're building on bad foundations. If you're not heavily invested I think the community could go to a coin that isn't a scam (in fact even if you are in deep, I'd just take the loss and leave). They do exist.

Because I think some dodgy people might still be involved. I got a PM saying ButterRose isn't Mastertrader777 but I don't believe it for a second. For sure there's good people in the Xios community, but I think you should cut loose and go elsewhere, I recommend Phore, similar coin, non-scammer devs, OpenBazaar-style marketplace coming Q1 2018.

I have many nodes, many coins...this one is just a side project that needed help.
It's always better to help (if you can) than just bail when it looks bleak.
That's what I did with Diamond Coin and a few others - HELP AND SUPPORT, not bail due to FUD - even though it may enrich people who may be unscrupulous.

I actually admire that, personally I couldn't stand to help line his pockets.

But I'm a trader above all and the old saying "ride your winners and cut your losses" comes into play. If you can turn it around it would take monumental effort, whereas you could put that effort towards people and coins who haven't scammed anyone.

This looks like a promising project, I will read up on the project properly and follow it for a while.

Is there any post summarizing the most important key parts of the project that anyone can recommend starting out with?

I setup a XIOS node last Sunday. It's been running fine once I got on the correct block chain. This is my first foray with a masternode. I figured I'd learn with a low cost coin. I fully plan on buying into more expensive masternode coins.

One question, how long does it take for a new masternode to start getting paid?

I think someone sabotaged the Masternode system. With the Linux install, everything works until you try to run the daemon. Then it says "no such file or directory".

With windows, when you try to run a "masternode outputs" you get the brackets but no text.

I got it working, I sent 1000.00001 to the wallet for the transaction fee, that was the mistake. However, when I close the wallet on my PC my masternode goes offline.

I used a VPS. There are many to choose from, some provide a basic level of functionality for free.

It's not clear that the dev used sock puppet accounts. It is, however, possible. To some extent, perhaps even probable.

I'll be honest. I'm not sure ButterRose knows his asshole from his armpit - but intentionally or not, he designed a pretty awesome coin. It does a lot of things well other coins only wish they could do. And as a result, it has built up a community around it that is considerably stronger than the coin itself. All Xios needs now is new leadership teams for both development and marketing.

All Xios needs? Isn't that all any coin needs?

Here's the deal. Xios has some great raw materials. It could be a very strong coin. But it isn't. And in fact, it could very well be dead already; we just don't know it yet. I'm hodling and waiting, though. I still think there's something here.

To be honest I've never used a coin before that confirmed so fast. I waited for 3 minutes for 16 confirmations. It looks like roughly 75 new masternodes came up in 24 hours, that's 75,000 coins, I think the project is reviving. A bad dev is a short-term problem, that kind of controversy is driving Bitcoin to the moon. I think Xios is actually getting a boost because of it.

Thanks for your post, highly appreciate it. But I do not really think that there is correlation between Xios' boost and Bitcoin. Xios only will be boosted if there are significant platformed-changes under-developed. Right?

Agreed, for it to hit the top 100 or better, it needs to be reliable and user-friendly. It needs coordinated development as well. It can't be a loose group each adding code. They need bug testing too, they could pay in Xios and offer bounties.

I want to have a look for XIOS's github, but right now it's down. Since I would like to know whether the current code is being updated or just simple copy from other opensource code.

This project seems to be quite interesting and also community seems to be great...I'm new to crypto so please suggest me whether is this right time to buy this coin as the price is stable or do i need to wait for some more time when price falls??

I think the price already fell and is climbing again.

Also they have an alternative github. The main one is down but if you want to have a look.

I think the coin can have a future but it would need a whole new team.

Mastertrader777 stated he thought the plan was to tank the coin so devs could buy and reintroduce ButterRose to pump, why would he think that? Who was he conspiring with?

You have to cut out the cancer to save the life of the patient. It's a trust issue, those of us who left ain't coming back without big changes.

Your theory only happen if the current team of dev sell the project out, and another one take it over. It's good imagination.
