Yes, any pile of coin can stake. Keep in mind that is takes 3 days for the coin pile to be valid for staking after any transaction. Once is staked - it will add 25 PNX to the pile, possibly split the pile in 2 halves if total is over 100-150PNX and later those new pile(s) should rest for another 3 days before get matured for staking again.

no, staking will start after 3 days coin received. then you need unexpecteble time, it depends your matured balance and network staking balance.

You should keep your wallet online to receive rewards and also set "staking=1" in settings to enable it.

actually before 3 days coins received no matter your wallet is online or offline. after 3 days you should be unlock your wallet for staking.
encrypt your wallet file. and unlock it for staking. i dont edit anything on my local computer for pos rewards. after unlocking wallet it switch automaticaly to pos. in your masternode wallet you must set staking=0 for not splits received 1 pile 20000 coins (20k mn collateral in 1 pile)
i run masternodes on my vps and send reward coins to my local different wallet for taking pos reward

Save the file WALLET.DAT and PHANTOMX.CONF, delete all other files and change the "phantomx.conf" for this simple nodes.
Probably it will take 2 hours sync full database.

a question about staking, does it help to split the coins into different addresses to optimize staking, or it is better to put all coin in address?
