I did the same thing with mine. No way to truly get rid of them, just sent them to an address no one has access to.

I quote myself, cause I still haven't got any answer. I am mining PNX, I like the project, so it is not about FUD, or anything. But I would like to have an explanation.

What about those 6millions lock premine ? Which is more than the actual supply !!!

If they really are burned / unspendable, why have a premine in the first place ? It make no sense. If you just want a locked account to burn coin, you don't need to have 6 million coins inside.

Unless they aren't that unspendable after all. So my question again, what are those premine coins for ?
There is no mechanism in this blockchain to burn/delete/destroy coins. So the simple solution is to send coins to some account with no private key, so coins will stay there forever. Of course, there is no 100% guarantee that no one holds this private key. However community will observe this account and trust will be help until those coins stay untouched.

Thanks for your answer. The idea is interesting, to be able to delete coin. I am sure many would like others to burn their coin in order to see the price increase !

But WHY the need for 6 millions locked coins, if they really can't be used ?
There is a premine, with some justification for it, ok.
There is no premine, ok great.
There is a premine that can't be used Huh So why the premine ? Trust is much harder, and you loose all the "ethic" side that comes with non-premine coins. Unless there is a private key after all.

If the teams comes here, that would be nice to hear a bit more about that, because I am sure that will block people from investing in PNX.

I agree. I like the project. The new website looks good. I have been mining for a while now ! Just want an answer to build trust, and have some argument/explanation against future FUDers.

So CoinsMarkets is still down and Stock.Exchange has just gone down for maintenance.

I'm no expert on crypto but I think the coins main focus should be getting on more exchanges. One so we can actually trade the coin and two because it will most certainly increase its visibility and hopefully popularity

I think it is a smaller exchange. The issue getting on larger exchanges is either there is not enough demand yet for them to want to list it, or it takes BTC to get listed. If the original devs didn't take premine for marketing and such to sell for BTC to list, it may take longer for this process.

Yep, there is far fewer buy/sell orders on SXE compared to stocks.exchange. That's fair I suppose, plus my MN has already paid for itself so I can't really complain  Smiley

Need some help...

My masternode was running and I went in VPS console to view the conf file and somehow sent CTLR, ALT, DEL.

I believe at this point some files were reset because I had to redownload the blockchain.

Once up to date wallet balance was 0. I check wallet address and its not the original wallet address.

Any ideas what happened??? Why was original wallet address overwrote?

How do I restore the previous wallet? Need help!!!

Thanks for time and support.

I will answer as no one else has yet, though others might give better information.

So it seems that you have deleted your wallet.dat file and all other logs. Did you back up your wallet.dat file?

If you have you can follow this guide from the Dash website to restore https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DOC/pages/112867673/How+to+restore+an+old+or+backed+up+wallet.

Unfortunately if you did not back up your wallet.dat file and you have no other form of backup you have effectively deleted your wallet. Is it in your recycle bin? If not I would take your computer to a specialist who might be able to retrieve the file even if it has been deleted and recycle bin emptied- if you have to do this do not use the computer anymore as that could overwrite the deleted wallet.dat.

Thanks much appreciated...

I'm good the dev Jamie took care of me just had to rebuild the wallet. The telegram site is where to be if you really have trouble this here is just surface stuff
