Why people try to create their own coins?

There are so many coins, but many of them just a copy of anothers. Why they waste their time for nothing?

Unfortunately there are tons of useless coins in the cryptocurrency world. In my opinion, people should learn how to be good traders. I think focusing on trading is much more better.

Because they see the potential of earning big once they create and release their own coins. If a project is legit or valid and has a chance of gaining success, people will certainly invest in that project. It will be hard work for the project team, but the gains will surely be worth it if everything turns out well.

Some people really wanna create new stuff that is needed in the crypto scene. Other people just wanna make some fast money... They promote their project for 1 or 2 months and then they are selling all their stuff on the first exchange.

I met a guy who "sells" a coin development for 10,000$.  Anyone with 10,000$ can have him build them a coin and get it up and running.  So there are people who don't understand the core goal of crypto-currencies are de-centralization and think "If I have a coin I control I will be rich"

I think there are a lot of coins out there that essentially get built this way.  Someone with little understanding and a chunk of change decides that "owning" a currency would be better/more fun than building a couple miners and working with an existing currency.

They do not waste their time, some people or team carefully plan to make new altcoins in line with a certain services offered that may seem good to other people thus buying their tokens and determining the value of the coin and their profit, but some just want to make profit to people through a fake campaigns.

People trying to earn money fast in crypto. That’s why everyone trying to create their own coins but I think it’s not a good way to get profit. I think finding safe coins is better than trying to find different ones.

This crypto stage is similar to stocks. A company who wants to back itself sells his stocks. Just like crypto, a company who has an idea or product that wants to improve itself sells coins. Like Ripple has couple of products such as xRapid which is helpful for payments(correct me if i'm wrong) and they sell coins to back their firm so they can spread and improve

There are many businesses that copy each other? Why do you think they spend their time? It is a strange question. But of these copies will survive only a small number of projects. It is a competition.

I think it actually depends on the individual/company that creates their own coins. Alot of the times their main motive is just to earn money and many of them don't care about anything else. Still sometimes people try to do something good and introduce new features which can make things more convineant. As people sa how succesful  bitcoin became, they wanted to launch their own cryptocurrency as they saw that people became so determined to invest into cryptocurrencies and ICOs.

Obviously getting returns would be the goal, but some of them actually have a vision for the coin(s) they create and that's what makes them legit.

Money is behind why many coins are created. They will not wasting there time if they will get nothing. Crytocurrency has no regulation body to check if it is legitimate projects or not. The competition is open to everyone and it's a good business.
Investors should always research first the ico and the team behind before investing to minimize being scam.
