I'm sorta new to this so forgive me if the answer is obvious.
I just received my D3 from bitmain and I am wanting to overclock it to get some more performance out of it.
I am able to get it to 531 MHz without any issues but after that I start getting errors.
The miner is running at my house on a third party PSU.

I would have thought that overvolting the miner would fix the issue but I can't find anywhere to do so.dd
I also understand that bad/dirty power could be the problem (any solutions?)

Thanks in advance

Hmmm, but Antminer D3 works at 17.5 Gh/s. Are you sure that the PSU you are using is compatible with D3.
531 MH looks too low compared to 17.5 G-hash/s and i think you have to check if all three boards and all chips are really working...
Normally, when you go to your "Miner Status" tab, you should see something like the attached pic

Usually, overclocking means to go higher then the specified speed of your equipment and i don't think this is the case to discuss about overclocking but to put your equipment in full normal operation.

If you overclock, your miner will reach high temp and it often have problem about hashrate. Temp is the first.

it depends how much are you planning to overclock D3....in L3+ forum I've seen that owners added 5% and no more faults appeared in interface....it depends anyway....

You have to wait before doing this type of test ...

Overclocking your D3 remove warranty instant ...

If you have nice hair flow with cool air, you can easily push this D3 i assume.

Heat is not the blocking factor, is more about how much this CPU can handle.

Overlocking is dangerous with almost mining hardware as it would burn due over temp.
And certainly you get nothing from warranty program.
Just keep as it is, that's best way

Allright now that the d3 doesn't earn anymore, anyone tried overclocking it to see what's best ?

I'm on the first batch with the boards that drop every 24 hours

BITMAN is a scammer company. AntminerD3 ; World's worst ROI for any miner. It is so worst that you loss money before you receive it. And if you overclock it it may -1usd per day to 0 for a week than it will again -50usd per day plus device life will be 1 month or less, so you can not use it as heater during the winter, winter is coming prepare your D3 units.

Hey i'm curious as to settings you come up with that are reliable.
I have fantastic results and luck with the L3+ overclock settings, need solid ones for D3 also please

Actually I guess it's an auto tune model (like the s9s), that would explain why first batch was 17ghs and secong 19 in stead of 15.

Isn't the l3 autotune too ?

Cheers,
Q.

I was thinking the same. Can we overclock these 19.3gh d3 antminers? If so anybody get a big difference in hashrate? If so what are these d3 miners pushing with the overclock? I have a few soon and wohld like to k ow if it is worth overclocking.
Anyways if anybody had overclocked, can you please post your results. Thank you.

I've been overclocking with this:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2346161.0

It's been more profitable but I'm worried I might burn my machine out faster.
Time will tell.

I've been consistently pulling 21236.38 MH/s on one machine, the rest are between 19000-21000.

The person who made the software gets 1.5% but it isn't so bad.
