Thought I would start a thread about the October Batch's shipping as I can't seem to find one on here yet.

This is my first purchase from Bitmain and I would like to know any experiences other have had and mores specifically

  • When should I expect confirmation my order has been shipped?
  • What duties (VAT) etc should I be expecting when it hits customs (UK)

Any advice welcome really.

They should be starting in 5 days, my order went through and was paid very swiftly so I'm hoping I'm one of the first in line. The power supply states "October", so a bit vague there, i've been told it won't ship together!

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

They should give you a tracking number and Vat is 20% of what you have paid.

Today I got an email from Bitmain that my L3+ is shipped.
Inside the mail there was a tracking number and the invoice as attachment

I think it's the same procedure for the D3.

That for that I'll keep an eye out for an email.

I saw a post about potential import tax https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2029822.msg22784681#msg22784681

Do you know how paying the VAT works? Will it get held in customs until I've paid?

Since it's most probably sent by one of the bigger shippers, they either show up on your doorstep with an invoice (as TNT Express does, or DHL in some countries) or they send an invoice later (which they tend to do mostly with companies).
