Which wallets are you using?
What is good for advanced things, like signing, shared signature (2 people must sign transaction) and so on?
And how to you handle the initial download that takes quite long.

Not all wallets download the entire blockchain; some use an online copy. Electrum is a good one for that. I have a walkthrough for Electrum setup here: http://www.bit-buddy.com/electrum-setup.html
