Almost all altcoins depend on Bitconi and this happens a lot in a month. I think the Bitcoin market is very important because only the Bitcoin price increases and all altcoin will drop, and very rarely Bitcoin prices increase and altcoin increase
except during september where they all followed BTC... |

yes of course bitcoin affects altcoin price, if bitcoin is expensive then altcoin price will go down and become cheap, but if bitcoin price drops then altcoin price becomes expensive again, this I have monitored for 2 years, if you can take advantage of this cycle then you will get profit.
This is true, I agree with your opinion, this is a fact that happened. I noticed that most times when btc is rallying almost all of the altcoins dip. and when there is a crash in btc all altcoins suffer as well. my interpretation is that for the first alts can't sustain the price against the $ if btc is high. and for the second, everyone is panic selling btc.
what do yo guys think ??
When people panicked sell btc, I think they just drifted the current, This will cause snowball, chain reaction effect that will lead directly to PANIC and Bitcoin price collapse. All they do is math and simple human nature (greed / fear). |

Thee effect is very important because everything matters what you do in this life. I think wether its a negative or posetive effect after all there is an outcome
Right you are. In life you have to cater many different situations and you will be doing some different work. What matter most is how you just take the things in your account so that their effect displays you a good or bad person. But we all have to try for positive effect of anything on us. Bad effect are not welcomed but they are best for learning something new. |

,most of the times its quiet obvious that when bitcoin rises the alternate coins racing to drop like its a blood bath all over the market, but there's no need to anic anyway it will be back soon and they will follow up.

I see differently though, When the price of bitcoin drops, most of the alts I hold drop too, and when bitcoin increases, more than 60% of my alt portfolio rebounds. There must be a correlation somewhere. |

Heres my strategy for this. If Bitcoin is approaching to pump. Sell all your alts, even at loss. Once Bitcoin started to rally, altcoins will shake and some of them will fall from 30% up to 50%. Imagine what if you dont dump the altcoin before the BTC pump: You loss 50% investment. But because you are 100% BTC If Bitcoin pumps 10%. Then you gain profit. After the pump. Go back with your altcoins at the dip. I noticed that most times when btc is rallying almost all of the altcoins dip. and when there is a crash in btc all altcoins suffer as well. my interpretation is that for the first alts can't sustain the price against the $ if btc is high. and for the second, everyone is panic selling btc.

I just observe that altcoins are for speculation purposes and what people really want is bitcoin. They just purchase altcoins so that when its value increase, they would sell it to have more bitcoin. When bitcoin's value rise, people would like to ride the wave so there is a tendency they would sell their altcoins to buy more bitcoin and after having some profit, they would shift again to alts. When bitcoin is going down in value, some people would sell their alts and shift to USD or USDT to buy bitcoin when its cheaper. Truly, that is all they have always been good for and it is so glaring now. Altcoins are just basically there for trading purposes, capitalizing on their volatility against bitcoin and making some profit along the line and when a war is coming up, then we see a huge dump. It will be hard to see bitcoin going down without them being affected negatively or bitcoin even bulling its way high without them still being affected negatively. Bitcoin is just a big bully  |

The growth of bitcoin is felt over few altcoins to some extent. Here upon the growth of bitcoin, few altcoins has increased in value along with bitcoin with good growth percentage. Lot of altcoins were found declining in value marked with the red indication. Maybe the effect will continue till the upcoming fork.

Obviously bitcoin effects on altcoin. All the altcoin directly or indirectly depends on bitcoin. At the time of low price of bitcoin, the altcoin price get high enough and time of bitcoin's high price, altcoin got down. It can be called that bitcoin is the basis of all altcoin. |

Waiting patiently to see how the hard fork plays out. Alts could get rekt as there all priced in BTC 1x.
Really at this point the safest option in my opinion is to hold some BTC and some strong well established alts to balance your portfolio out and lower risk before things settle and we know the outcome of the fork.
If we could predict rightly or foresee what could happen, how nice that would have been. But unfortunately, we cannot. However, even with the upcoming fork, I see it as a good thing for bitcoin in disguise and the forks are just going to be dumped for bitcoin just as they arrive and once the cloud settles which will make bitcoin to even thrive further, so as it is, it is just good to have some faith in bitcoin and keep hoping for the best. |

It's hard to accept this, but you're right, whenever bitcoin increases or decreases, the altcoins is at risk. These still have many altcoin can keep the original value or small risk. It's a double edged sword, you would think lot's of alts are down, maybe it's time to buy. On the other holding btc with it's rising value is attractive as well. Especially with extra "fork" money. But after a while it will all stabilize again. I feel you mate! I noticed most of them have been stable for a while now and I have so much zapped them although it is still a bit risky but with the volume, I feel it is safe and I am gladly waiting for homies to get back once the fork is over to start buying. There is a huge chance I will get more profit from those dumped altcoins than what free BCG might give me but I am willing to take some chances with some of the coins. Won't hurt! |

BTC is the ultimate destroyer of altcoins when it rallies. I actually see very little hope for alts whilst BTC moves up like this. It just destroys them because everyone is moving money from their alts into BTC.

Yes dear, I think BTC is a major effect on altcoin.
Last few days BTC rate is very high and it has pumped, because the every Altcoin has been dumping.
when bitcoin pump Altcoin will dump.also bitcoin Dump altcoin will pump. so it's a big effect on altcoin.
I think almost all altcoins depend on Bitconi.

Bitcoin is like central bank to others coins and just like a sayin "when America sneezes, other countries cache cools" is the same effect we are having on bitcoin and altcoins.Currently bitcoin is in bullish market and most of the altcoins are bearish and in September when bitcoin was bearish every alternative coins were all bearish. Many speculators are saying coins is going to get inflow to altcoins by traders dumping bitcoin, I did not see this happen as when ever bitcoin get dump altcoins also get dump. |

My theory on it has always been:
-When bitcoin goes up, the traders cash out of altcoins to catch the rising price of bitcoin.
-When bitcoin goes down, the traders cash out of altcoins into bitcoin so they can cash out of bitcoin and into dollars. With the plan to buy back into bitcoin when the price is low.
The only good time for alts seems to be when bitcoin stays still. It's been a bad year for alts this year.
