BTC effect on altcoins

Before, just a couple of years ago, Bitcoin did not have such a great effect on the altcoins. Now we see the picture like this one: BTC is growing, and the alts are gaining. It is falling and the other coins do the same.

and when bitcoin is falling, this is happening too with altcoin. and today, with bitcoin price is in under $9000, many altcoins have dropped too and the altcoin is trying to survive in this situations because they see that bitcoin reach the bottom again. but once bitcoin increase back, the altcoin will getting an increase too. the big effect from bitcoin to altcoin is in the price for each altcoin but some of the altcoins don't get this effect and still trying to break the highest price like we see in the market.

This trend of Bitcoin's influence on the market is very much traced in the names of 2018. Last year, this was not observed, especially when Bitcoin rose to its maximum value, other altcoins were monotonously gaining a price.

I think btc does not have much effect on atlcoin. When btc decreases there are some altcoins that actually increase. Indeed bitcoin is the first coin, but I do not think bitcoin is a benchmark for other altcoins. They are affected by demand and supply on each coin

Bitcoin has big effect on cryptocurrency market because when people look at the price the first glance is on the bitcoin price and then others. The reason is bitcoin is the leading crypto and mostly people have invested in it. Those who have less capital for investment buy other coins than bitcoin because of the low price and the growth is also slow.

I noticed that most times when btc is rallying almost all of the altcoins dip. and when there is a crash in btc all altcoins suffer as well. my interpretation is that for the first alts can't sustain the price against the $ if btc is high. and for the second, everyone is panic selling btc.

Bitcoin is the father if crypto currencies so people mainly focus on bitcoins so I think that bitcoins suffers a drop or dump its opens an opportunity to buy bitcoins in cheap prices so most of the people cash out their alt coins therefore alt coins suffers a drop.And also that for Bitcoin a fork is coming so people are trying to invest in bitcoins as much as they can so cashing alts coins might be an good option but maybe risky too.Also that alts coins has suffered a lot this year,I think mainly because of China banning ICOs which had a great impact for all.

yup, everything is in correlation with btc and it goes something like this: when btc drops...everything drops, when btc goes on a bull run...everything drops. When btc stabilizes..that's when alts go absolutely berserk.

When Bitcoin's price falls, the newbies are losing faith against altcoin and are starting to sell it. For that when the Bitcoin's price decrease, altcoin's price begin fall with it.

BTC affects many other altcoins. BTC girls almost decided to increase the reduction of other altcoin in the market. As BTC prices increase, other altcoins increase and vice versa

from your opinion I can conclude when bitcoin prices stabilize and rise slowly alt coin prices go up, we see from the market capitalization for example IOTA in March last or when the crash hit the marketcap only 2.7 B $ now already reach 5.1B $ it shows at least he has gone up almost 50%, but did not rule out what you say is true, this any market can happen unexpectedly.

I think yes bitcoin realy affect most of all altcoins because bitcoins is the center of trading in short he is the middle man and to exchange your coins or tokens to other altcoins or in fiat money you need to exchange you coins or tokens to bitcoins first before you can convert to other currency so the price of bitcoin realy affecting altcoins price too.

Bitcoin only affect the price of altcoins because all altcoins connected to bitcoin in all exchanger and all altcoins are easily converted to bitcoins so if bitcoin price goes down altcoins down also and if bitcoin price up altcoin price also up.

Altcoins are clearly relying to bitcoin so it can have value. Traders won't see it worth if it's not paired with btc and that is what makes them all weak unlike Ethereum that can still manage to go up or not crash even btc is dumping hard.

Coming from where things are heading, its still bitcoin is the basis of most alts to gain its value, when btc falls then alts are also doing the same, but like what you have said it is different from ETH as we can see that this project still progressing even bitcoin is showing bearish, personally I'm positive that most of those quality alts will aimed to gain the same support that btc and ETH already gain inside crypto market.

I think the major problem here is that bitcoin is the base currency for all other alternative cryptocurrency. So it movements will definitely affects altcoins prices positively and negatively. Positive when bitcoin price is on uptrend and negative when bitcoin price in on the downtrend
