You're trying to be too clever for your boots mate, it doesn't happening, give it a rest. Specially as nobody is really bothered about your thoughts You think it's all about bitcoins and litecoins? Fine. Tattoo them on your chest, use them as sexual fantasies, I'm fine with that..

I think Ripple is the only other "coin" with known authors: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/7554/who-are-the-core-developers-behind-ripple"Chris Larsen has been publicly identified as CEO of OpenCoin, the company behind the new Ripple. The core developers have been publicly identified as Jed McCaleb, Arthur Britto, Stefan Thomas, and me (David Schwartz). " I think Jed did eDonkey and Mt Gox.

Thanks but "OpenCoin/Ripple" is not a crypto in my eyes. It's not open source, it is not decentralized, and is on par with Liberty Reserve with larger backers as far as I'm concerned. Cheers.

This is a very legitimate question- there are some coins PPC, LTC, FRC that have very visible dev's who are well known and active in the community. There are other coins that the dev's are nameless/faceless. Not knowing who the dev's are is a significant problem in times of crises in my opinion. People say "No one knows Satoshi Nakomoto", which is true, but he was active back in the day, the other bitcoin devs talked frequently with him, and at this point the current bitcoin dev's are talented and visible enough that it doesn't matter who Satoshi is.
Once again, this is yet another reason why I believe Bitcoin Testnet coins are a valuable alt-coin. The dev's are the same as Bitcoin- we don't have to worry about trojans, about reading the code line by line to check it. The code is as stable as Bitcoin, and if there is a problem, we have the best cryptocurrency dev team out there ready to fix it.
