~ I hope my wallet will support this new chain. ~ unless you are using something like exchanges or coinbase and xapo and call them "wallet", your "wallet" will not support the new forked coins ever. your "wallet" is a bitcoin wallet and will continue to support bitcoin not altcoins that are forked from bitcoin. you will have to download the wallet they release, risk using it, and claim the coins. that is why so many have not yet claimed their bitcoin cash.

I think that you have to download their wallet and then import your private key into it to get your bitcoin gold, so it would be good for you to have all your bitcoin in a single wallet to get away from all the burden of claiming the coins from different wallets. And also you check that you control the private keys of that wallet.

I heard this from a article saying that there are going to be multiple forks, one is on October 25 and another one will be during November ,which they call it as Segwit2X. I didn't quite understand what exactly they were trying to tell but to reduce the block size and to reduce the transaction fee is one of the reasons why the hardfork is taking place now.

Now that I just knew about it I thought it would happen in november? what is there november is also a hard fork.?
Tonight I'll sell my Altcoins even if it's a bad thing to get ready for the upcoming hard fork this october 25 and of course I'll also get a free BTG. Hopefully this will be supported by the exchanges and the price will be higher.

I also read something here about more than onw forks, but couldn't find anymore. So the best is, to keep private keys, wait until november or a bit longer, transfer then the BTC to another place and then import the empty address to a wallet, that supports the new coins.

Yes it is There are two upcoming BTC forks, one is on October 25th Bitcoin gold fork. I've read something about this fork in reddit that it is already pre mined. I'm not sure how will that affect on fork. Second one probably takes place around middle of November. Bitfinix already listed two chains separately as BT-1 and BT-2.

If upcoming hard fork created Oct 25 , We are have BTC hard fork with new chain! So If you have all your coins in an exchange, you have to hope that the exchange will support the new chain. If they do not, you will no longer have access to those funds. Best course of action is to have your tokens in a wallet you control

... So we will have three or for new Bitcoins. We have BitCash and will have Bitcoin Gold. What are the other one or two coins?
NO! we will always have only 1 bitcoin at all times. there never can and will exist any more than that. the chain with the majority support will be bitcoin and the rest of them will always be altcoins. things like bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold are definitely altcoins because of the way they work. BCH was an attack on bitcoin with support of a handful of people (Roger Ver, Antpool gang) BTG is an obvious altcoin which even has a huge premine

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

While I agree that there is only one Bitcoin at all times, I disagree with your argument. You can't know until long after the fork which chain has majority support. Hash power could switch back and forth. It could be difficult to gauge which network has majority user support, especially if we consider the position of SPV and web wallet users. And why should a simple majority be good enough? I think any incompatible change of the consensus rules -- which necessarily causes an incompatible chain split -- creates an altcoin. There's nothing wrong with creating altcoins, but we should be honest about it. The legacy chain is Bitcoin. Litecoin is a hard fork of Bitcoin, too. Why would we call it "Bitcoin?"

Prior to this event. I am sure people will sell all altcoin to keep Bitcoin and will limit trade at this point. I advise you to limit trade at this sensitive time as the altcoin market may decrease at any time

Do you think that the Bitcoin Gold coins will be launched at the date of the fork? I think they're running out of time to do both things.

That is right that bitcoin gold will be created at october 25 and this is the best chance for us to make money again by holding bitcoin because we will get the same amount of bitcoin gold that we have in our bitcoin wallet and we should just keep it for a longer time to make sure that the next forks are compatible for us because it always need bitcoin.

Well i'd probably stay with the same strategy i went with the last hard fork and leave my btc in my exchange wallet for the mean time. I mean if ever they give the amount of bitcoin gold for the btc that i have there, then that would be free money right?

Is that true? Claiming bitcoin cash is easy and transferring it to a bitcoin cash dedicated wallet is nearly as easy. I don't think people are afraid of claiming or transacting bitcoin cash. The hype wasn't as big as many thought but it didn't fail either...it's just another cryptocurrency, but one that holds quite a bit of value!

A small group of bitcoin developers and miners plan to complete a fork of the blockchain on October 25. That hard fork would create a new version of bitcoin called Bitcoin Gold. By November 1, the developers plan to open Bitcoin Gold trading on exchanges. The goal of the project is the same goal as any bitcoin hard fork: to improve the protocol. Bitcoin Gold appears to be designed specifically to challenge Bitcoin Cash.

Many are now investing in bitcoin, or some of the Altkoins are moving into it in anticipation of a new fork and biccoin splitting and getting a new free coin of high cost. And they do it right. And the coin itself, perhaps, will increase in price. In any case, her friendliness to bitcoin and a number of useful properties have repeatedly been advertised.
