Hello guys,

currently i have a small ETH Mining rigg with the follow specc:

Quote
-CPU Intel Celeron G1840 2x 2.80GHz
-MB ASRock H81 Pro BTC Intel H81 Dual Channel DDR3 ATX Retail
-DDR3 8GB (2x 4096MB) HyperX FURY
-GPU 6x AMD380   (sadly mixed manufacturer)
-2x 750watt power adapter and 1x 600watt
(Each power adapter for 2 GPUs)

Currently im having only 102 MH/s with the following settings on Simplemining : (stabile settings with nearly no crashes)
Core MHZ: 820
Memory MHZ: 1625
Powerlimit : -19.

When im trying to set the core or memory MHZ higher - the rigg crashes. When i set the Powerlimit higher - the rigg crashes.

To my question:
Did anyone had a similar expericene ? Do i have enough power with one 600watt power adapter for two GPUs?

Could the crash happen because of the different models of the AMD 380? Like i said i have different manufacturer and on SIMPLEMINING OS i can only choose one clock option for all cards. Would another OS maybe help? If yes which would you recommend ? I had bad experiences with Windows 10.

Thank you !

Jeffo

You can have a bit more of hashrate but for this you need to switch to WINDOWS 10 with ALL LATEST UPDATES , the motherboard is the best for mining, your PSU-s are more than sufficient for 2 of each cards. You can update their memory clocks in order to get more hashrate for Eth from MSI Afterburner tool, they should do about 17 Mhash each normally and about 18-19 Mhash with a bit of overclocking but winning just 12 Mhash over your current hashrate is the max you can do and I don't think it's worth it. Better to have a stable mining rig running.

I believe you have free or near free electricity because the cards you mention are energy beast consumers.

My Sapphire R9 380 Nitro is doing 21MH/s ETH and 330MH/s SIA...only one card, though, at 1550MHz memory, with modified bios straps

I pay 50 Euros for the electricity every month.
With the current hashrate / ETH worth its about 50-70 Euros profit. Not really enough.

Is Windows 10 really stabile enough for running over a few weeks?  I really dont want to drive to the office every now and then to reboot the rigg.

The GPU power consumption should be about 196 Watts each card. ( According to the manufacturer)
But i believe the numbers are wrong

Hi, i think is it conflict of different memory/core values at the stock state.
Your cards have dual bios ??  If you have dual bios and the same memory(sasmung, hynix etc...) on all card's , you can try to firmware the memory straps , or try one version of bios on all cards , after this you will get all cards with the same straps and clock's.

And other very important moment, check the power connectors (6 pin , 8 pin )  maybe one or more is damaged and lose the connection under load (in moment that you try to rise the PL tpd limit ).

I am running Windows 10 with all latest updates and Nicehash is running very stable in all my rigs. Some of the rigs are with very mixed cards, 2 RX 480, 1 RX 580, 1 GTX 1070 1 GTX 1060 all in one rig. This software is running perfectly fine for months without freezing or needing to reboot. It depends a lot on the motherboard, I use only MSI ones but ASROCK H81 is one of the best. No need to drive to the office if your electricity never runs out which should be the case if you are in Europe.
