I have sapphire 5830s and just put 4 of them on a 790 mobo. Installed MSI afterburner and unclocked the voltage and clock controls in the settings as well as added the warning in the cfg file as well but MSI afterburner would not let me change the memory clock speeds at all. I tried to move it from 1000 to 800 and it when i hit apply it would jump back up to 1000...any ideas?

or will tray tools work for 4 5830 in one rig?

Check out Sapphire's Trixx program. Works much better than Afterburner for this particular card, in my opinion.

I drop the memory on my 5830 to ~425 and core clock up to ~980-990. Stock voltage. 294 Mhash/s per card.
