has anyone ever incountered or heard about that ?
https://www.symantec.com/connect/blogs/iot-worm-used-mine-cryptocurrency

Seems kinda scarry, since I got myself the smart house system, that someone would use all of the equipment to mine crypto.
It's a bit paranoid of me, but now I'm considering to find a protection software, just in case. Cry

Hello,

the article is from 2014, but I think it's still possible today if your infrastructure isn't up to date. But more and more manufacturer are going to use the blockchain to protect your data and IoT house (like Bosch for example).

There's a worm on FB messager (https://fossbytes.com/cryptojacking-bot-digimine-google-chrome-desktop/), so if you had connected with FB or else, be careful :/
