Well if you are addicted to gambling you just keep in mind that you always lose your money in gambling or if you win it is only in small amounts and mostly you lose your money. You can set your mind that in trading you can get profit with your investment instead of losing all of your money in gambling or you can consult someone who can help you out. First you will need to quite gamble your money so you have to make your self busy so, you don't gamble. After that when you are away from gambling you should start investing your money in alt coin start trading and vice versa.

It is the same way trading isn't all about skills but luck also, you have to know how to balance the two for optimum result. I quite agree with you guys that if you want to quit gambling you should replace it with another habit but I don't agree with you for making trading the next option because there are other real world activities that one can focus on and develop a counter habit for such as starting up or focusing on running a business, spending time with your family , playing a hobby etc. which to me are safer and wouldn't empty your pocket.

Yes, if you want to stop gambling then you need a determination to stop this habit then only you can do this otherwise as you said can't stop it. Another thing is you need to find another good alternative habit to spend your free time not again playing some online games but like outdoor games then slowly you will start losing the interest about these games. In trading, I have a trading plan that would let me study my trades and in case that the price go down, I still have a chance to buy more to average down or cut my loss and then find another trade or buy back lower. I still have some amount left to have a chance to get back my losses whereas when I bet it in gambling then its either win all or lose all so I will not have any amount left to gamble more but in trading, I still have some left. Emotions are big factor in gambling and trading but in gambling it will happen so fast so I will not have time to correct my bet but in trading, I have a chance to calm myself and then have a rational decision in my trade.

Trading  does really needed a lot of time and patience just to see the good results when you do it. And gambling we only think about its quick way of making money. But when we talk about quitting, I'm not going to quit gambling and start trading. Why I have to quit gambling just for a start of another hobby if I can do both of it?

To be able to double your balance through trading is sure to take a while longer and the size of one's balance has a lot of role to play, but to do same with with gambling can be as simple as hitting your entire balance at 2x and hope luck smiles at you! I agree with you, reflecting on what you've lost through gambling can help you rethink and reconsider whether to stop or continue playing. Most of the ti,e it's best to replace a habit with another habit in order to stop the prior one and so it's best to start trading especially when you've lost so much in gambling, that way you will be preoccupied and wouldn't go back into gambling again but i think you should only start trading after you've reflected on your gambling losses.
