He means enough fees for the network to be able to confirm it, not enough for the company as they shouldn't be taking anything that's not negligible.

But no, that fee is usually enough to be able to handle that. Fee's right now is around $2.20, so going over it isn't going to hurt you in the least. Plus, you're sending 1 BTC and the price is currently rapidly changing so you may have meant a different price.

Dude that is just 60k satoshis for sending 100 million of satoshis. See the difference?
I send 2 million satoshis and yet I pay almost 20k. I think your transaction is enough for miners to have a little of something to mine more.

Transaction fee is not calculated based on how much you send but based on how big the transaction is in bytes. Usually transaction is around 220 bytes. Here you can check how long you can expect to wait based on how much fee you have paid https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ If you paid 60k satoshis it should be quite fast, one or two blocks.
