Bitcoin has passed $5,300, this is because of upcoming hard fork, many are buying bitcoin because of free Bitcoin gold.

It's been a great year for Bitcoin, and it's not being the first time we face a fork, so the FUD is not as strong as before.

Yes it pretty amazing how high the price keeps going. I think you may be right about the hard fork but I just wonder how much that fork will be worth.

After the fork, we could see a sell off briefly as a correction to this big increase. The previous fork is definitely having an affect on the upcoming fork so it's hard to tell if it will sustain the increase afterwards.

probably people are expecting bitcoin gold's price to be as high as bitcoin cash, but I think it will be worth a lot less. In a way it's nice to see btc going up but I had a lot of btc invested in altcoins, which are all crashing, hopefully altcoins will recover at some point  Tongue

It was far more different from before, If there's any upcoming fork on Bitcoin, some people are having to FUD, but nowadays, if there's upcoming Bitcoin fork, most of the people are still panic,  to buy more Bitcoin, Smiley

Bitcoin has passed $5,300, this is because of upcoming hard fork, many are buying bitcoin because of free Bitcoin gold.

There is any official statement of free BTG?
as far as I know, BTG will be hardfork from bitcoin nodes but will be sold through an ICO, it just another altcoin but it's not free I guess.
Once more, you may want to read this; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2133536.0
it will be sold to ico investor.
1BTC=10BTG.
this ICO will help BTG chain the longest Bitcoin blockchain.
all rised BTC will used to hire developors, advertisement, etc.

So, I don't think people buying bitcoin due to expecting free BTG, but it simply the time to invest in bitcoin and people just follow the flow of the market before correction occur.

BTC will hit $6000+ very soon, but not sure how the fork coming up will affect the price. Will it hold stable or drop or shoot to the moon? Huh

We have seen the rapidly increasing price of bitcoins. And we've seen the power of bitcoins to rise in price in just a few days. It's just a hype and it's not natural to lift it. That's why the foundation is so fragile that it can stand up and not fall. So we exepect the fast fall of the price of bitcoins

It might reach $6000 in no time. Even with the Segwit2x drawing near I think it will not the pricing that much.  A new records means a new venture onto $7000 mark. It's just way too unreal yet it happened from $3000 to $5600 in a month.
