Power requirements on my rig?

Current rig parts are as follows:

2 HyperX Fury 4GB DDR4 2400MHz 1.2V
7 MSI RX580 Gaming X 8GB
1 Asus B250 Mining Expert LGA 1151 Motherboard
1 Intel Pentium G4560

I still need to get a power supply, some risers, and some storage to boot from. I've used a few online calculators based on what I have here
and I'm getting numbers between 1200w and 1400w for power. I've found so many different numbers on what it takes to run each RX 580
card varying from 150w to 300w or more per card so I'm not sure what to go with for those. I've done several searches here and whipped
my hair back and forth several times before deciding to bother you all with one of these posts. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

It depends if you will dual mine and if you plan on expanding. If you don't dual mine, you can get by with a EVGA G2/P2 1200W or 1300W. If you want to dual mine, for 7 cards I would recommend at least a 1600W or  a dual PSU setup, which is made easy with that motherboard since it has 3 ATX 24-pin connectors. If you have a 240V outlet you can also look in to using a server PSU, but keep in mind they are much louder than ATX PSU's.

I do plan to expand to the motherboards maximum potential at some point and I was looking at some of those 2400w server PSU. I'm still just getting my foot in the door at this point though. I likely will not be dual mining initially.

A 2400W would be able to run at least 10-11 card dual mining. The problem with the Asus B250 mining mothrboard is the PCI-E slots are divided in three groups, one of seven PCI-E slots and the other two with six. Each group has their own power supply 24-pin input, so with that motherboard it may be more efficient to use a 1200-1300W PSU for each of the PCI-E groups.

The other issue is that using the onboard 16 bit slot PHYSICALLY BLOCKS 3 of the "1 bit slots" from being used if you have a dual-width card (and it's tight enough most SINGLE-WIDTH cards are likely to block those 3 connectors).

 There ARE server-type PS setups smaller than that monster Delta 2400 - could go with a pair of those, if they include ATX 24-bin cable support.

Biggest limit you're going to run into on standard ATX type power supplies is they tend to not include enough PCI-E connections for the risers AND the cards themselves.

For you to be sure and for your system to be steady you will have to use a 1600w branded PSU, Gold or even Platinum. It's quite expensive but it is the best option that you can have for your 7 cards

It looks like the 580s run about 185 stock.  This is why they are not considered as good as the 4xx series.  They require more voltage.  Your about 1400 watts.  7 x 185 = 1295 and about 100 watts for the cpu ect..

I wouldn't be trying to boot that with less than a 1500w PSU but personally would want more room.  From there it depends on your comfort and skill level with undervolting, bios mod, ect... to get the cards down.

The ATX 1600w supplies are super expensive but I found a reasonably priced 2400w mining PSU which has at plenty of 6+2 pin connectors to power my 7 RX580 cards and their respective risers. I have a spare 600w ATX PSU which I'm thinking about powering the motherboard and everything else with. I'm just not sure if I'm going to be blowing something up by running things in this manner. I'm assuming that both power supplies need to be turned on at the same time which I considered doing through a surge protector. Or could I get away with turning on one and then the other and if so what order? Does it even matter?

I'd recomend you a 1500w psu in order to have more w that the pc needs just in case i'll need more in the future

I have a rig running 8 gpus, 4x570, 4x580. It pulls 1180w from wall that means a bit less on psu side, around 900w. Recommend you using quality psu and risers, a good 80+ gold/plat 1200w psu will be enough for your 6 gpus, if you want to expand later you can add another psu to your mobos psu b slot. Im using same gpu and mobos on some of my rigs, just send me a pm if you need help on tuning clocks and modding bios. I have seen many ppl getting bad results from those cards, if you cant get 30+ just tell me.
