If you die your coin will rot in the internet. Unless you got your attorney and write all your acounts and pw in your last will and testament.

I guess they would get lost, so I will avoid to die.

I suggest making a dead-man-switch. This can be done by making a cron job to a script that checks some file with a timestamp in it. If the current time is a month after the time stamp, it sends you private keys to a trust person, or better, simply makes a transaction to them and broadcasts it. While your alive, you update the file every few weeks such that the time stamp is never a month old. When your dead the file is no longer updated and a month latter the funds are released.

Of course you need to leave instructions for you family to keep your computer turned on, or put this on a server.

Also I haven't done actually done this, but I know of people who have.

Good question!!! I already noted all pw/backup phases in my diary and keep it in safe place.
After that one of my family member can use them.

My family has all of the information to get to the crypto's if something should happen to me.  So, there's at least some crypto's that won't be lost forever, they will live on through my family!    Cheesy

I suggest people should share doing Bitcoin to a family or friend so that if an accident or something bad happens, someone can continue with what you have started. Especially the accounts that ranked up to Hero or Legendary. Share your knowledge about Bitcoin with someone close to you so that your Bitcoin will be safe in case something happens and you'll feel good because you know that it would be a blessing to the person you entrusted it.

I've been thinking about this too. I usually have the keys of my coins in a safe place in my house. If anything were to happen to me I would hope my family would look at it and inherit whatever is left. Now I think about it, I should probably add instructions on how to use it now I think about it. Of course it will be useless, then we have to trust someone to know our account password, so if we die there are people who continue it ...
