You can store your private key in Cloud services like Dropbox or GD and write your account information on a paper and store it somewhere in bank locker, encrypt (ex. MD5) your password with an answer of question that you're sure who you want to share the data with knows. Write a will and let that person knows about your will and the private key and ask them to answer the question decrypt it and they have the password.

Hi there
I have been thinking about this for a while and I have seen the same question in the Spanish thread. So, if you die do you have a plan to give you currencies to your relatives?
This is mu strategy: I have copied the paper wallets in a usb key, compressed with a password. The usb key contains a file with the instructions to guess the password (you have to know me in person). This usb has been put in my house, in the drawer, with some clothes. So if anything happens suddenly to me, I hope that my family, one day, will remove my clothes off and the usb will appear. If the follow the instructions the will keep all the money.
Any other ideas?
Very simple : coin owner is the private key owner. No taxes to give yours privates keyx to the person you want : in your family... or not. That is freedom, even after your death :-). дyмaю oни cгopят, c coбoй нe зaбepeшь, a бeз влaдeльцa oни нeпpикocaeмы

I suppose your coins will be frozen if there won't be anybody who know your private key. Technically it means that coin supply will be reduced = price will grow.

I would say it just as with fiat money. However instead of someone being able to find it physically you will have to leave them the private key or they will not be able to recover your coins.

I think if i die , i will convert bitcoin into money and give my relatives because my family don't use bitcoin . If your relatives use bitcoin , you can do that but it's quite risky

I already give my friend the Private Key he is my best friends and I believe him. So, if there is something happen to me he will take all the money and give it to my family. That's my strategy, very simple.

Every Satoshi goes to my family. Hopefully my daughter will then be old enough to handle the millions when I die in 2020

I let my cryptodata in a safe place, with other valuable info about my assets. Of course nothing human is 100%, but I think that is enough.

If you don’t share private keys with anybody, it’s still there. If you want your family to use them try sharing the information.

If I think it's better to say to the closest relatives like to my wife, father, mother and even child all the keys or passwords and keywords, than later when we die they wonder about everything, we better inform everything first before death comes .

I'm gonna give to whom ever is closest to me that understand crypto-currencies. For instance, my elder brother introduced the crypto-world to me therefore he's gonna get them all.

Everything I do, I do with the intent that everything goes through my wife to my grandson. My son is onboard with this so there are no issues with this. To that end, I have multiple copies of my information, and my family is knowledgeable in how to retrieve the information.

if I die, I might be calm because I work with my life partner, so all the coins that can be made for things that benefit the family and the crowd.

You should leave instructions on how to get your assets in a safe and give the combination to the person that is handling your will. Also, it's better to describe what they can do with these assets, because there might be a chance that they can't withdraw or buy with them.
The best option in my opinion is to instruct the notary, or the lawyer, to keep the assets secure and untouched for like 5-10 years, which means that the funds will be tenfold at least.
Another thing I considered when I was thinking about this is that if your kids receive say a 100k inheritance they might waste it in two months, because they may not be responsible enough. So, what I would do is instruct the notary to give my money to the hiers only when they are either married with kids or they're ready to invest them properly.

I think the best solution for that is, adding the necessary informations to the testament. I don't think there is a better way.
