What altcoin you mean? Because there are lot of altcoin exist in crypto currency some of them already dead and some of them are continuous giving profit for their investors.
Altcoin will not die until their project are continuous earning and lot of investors supporting and not withdraw their investments.

Agree with you mate, altcoin will not die instead developers continue yo develop and lauch an altcoin which is better to the crypto currency world, i always support and participate in some ico which i know has a potential to make better coin in the future, by doing that i could help while i am earning for investment. Altcoin also is the tool to make trading method profitable more investors used them to hold and make good profit when the value start to increase.

I feel devastated in the sense of experiencing a very heavy drop,
indeed in this 1 week even in up to 1 month ago the price of alt coin getting here is decreasing,
I am talking like this because my 4 alt coins have been stuck for almost a month and now it is even very far from my purchase price.

I think most of the altcoins are unnecessary but quality projects will be valued in the future. for example: ethereum,waves,stratis.

I believe in the viability of altcoins and I believe some service providers would one day provide conversion service. In other words, change your altcoins to BTC for you instead of you going to the exchanges, for a fee. Hence, altcoins become an extension of BTC as a result of being easily convertible, even if they themselves are not actively used in transactions as BTC. Buy altcoins and wait. I believe their percentage increases would be staggering once cryptocurrencies become mainstream.

Ups and Downs always happen in every money market ( forex, share trading, commodity trading, crypto trading) but nothing die. All markets comes from recession or bad time and again start moving upwards. happen will happen in altcoin and after some time, all altcoins start moving up when this downtrend cycle over. As what i have observed there are so many ICOs that promises only at start and then it will just end up nothing, but still there are so many projects that are totally potentially good and has a bright future, and for me good ones will remain in the end, besides its also a natural phenomenon that when bitcoin rises alt coins will go down expected from most of the alt coins.
