Imagine if tomorrow occurs a crash like 2008. What do you think will happen to the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?

You basically described it in the explanation itself. If there was a crash, then the price of Bitcoin would not be spared. However, I don't think a lot of the holders would be shaken. For most of them, they know that after every drop there will be a come back and after every large rise there will be corrections. For all of these cryptocurrencies, we can expect a similar behavior.

This area is up for grabs! PM me if you're interested.

Price will skyrocket in this case. Investors would discover that laws and policy based regulations are inferior comparing to a solution regulated by math.

Manipulations happens on everything speculative, however, in bitcoin world, there are only so much whales can manipulate, and in many parts their actions are visible as transactions in the public ledger.

Here the users who have completely into bitcoin for their living as well made everything invested into bitcoin will panic, while the rest won't think much about the price drop. Maybe their additional earning gets affected but will have the hope that it retains. Till date crashes were common, same as that getting recovered is promised reality with bitcoin.

A crash like 2008 is a risk off situation. People don't freak out about threat of financial ruin only to take that money and jump right into another, even higher risk asset. That's not to say over time some money won't make its way over to bitcoin, but it won't just funnel straight from one side to the other either. An outright crash in traditional markets may be seen like ww3 in that it will end life as we know it. It would be utterly devastating for many people and businesses, and would likely spoil economy's world wide. I don't think it would be good for Bitcoin... At least not immediately. Obviously there would be speculative rally's as traders who think it would be great, buy before all the laggards, but it will be unsustainable in the longer term and eventually fall back.

In January 2009, the bitcoin network came into existence after Satoshi Nakamoto mined the first ever block on the chain, known as the genesis block.

what crash ? economony crisis ?
i think it will be the opposite to the fiat and our economy,
most likely Bitcoin price will be increasing to secure their investment and increase their spot on it.
economy crisis will only affecting a minority(citizen) not the majority(whaes),
most of them still have a power backing their own and their assets around the world.
why it keep increasing even though the crisis affecting the minority ?
because Bitcoin can be owned and manipulated by the majority(whales).
most of them owned more than 1% and can easily pump it as their wish

Imagine if tomorrow occurs a crash like 2008. What do you think will happen to the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?

Your share of the wealth of the world would increase, because you’d still have all your BTC and you could buy more at lower fiat prices.

However, you might possibly (not surely) lose your BTC if you accept the vast wisdom and research of @poorya87.

What crash? Bitcoin didn't start until 2009. There is no other investment marketplace...only the cryptocurrency marketplace.

But this guy has the right idea ^^.

It is actually something everyone should take into consider,as it's practically inevitable.
The question is not if,but when, and the predictions are bad.
USA just removed the debt limit of $17.8 trillion, and it already increased to $20,5 trillion, and this just sped the things up.
It is estimated the crash will be worse ,not from the one in 2008,but than the one in 1929!
So earn as much money as you can whilst things are still holding up,because we're awaiting some hard belt-tightening.

What is this a crash that will go down to $2008 mark value or just like what happen in the year 2008? well OP must be confuse while posting this thread, if it is $2008 mark value then I think the price would not go down below the $4000 mark value because I think that is the safe cap we can get right now, and if you are talking about the year 2008 bitcoin was not introduce until 2009 so I think there is no crash introduce by 2008 and just an increase in the value.

If there is more QE, then the Bitcoin price will rise dramatically. If not, the price will rise steadily.

If for some reason bitcoin crashed right now, people would be so happy and would buy so many bitcoins that it will bounce twice as much and come back to the new highs in a matter of moment. People have realized that bitcoin has indeed future, so a cheap price would only stimulate the market. It would be like a sale in a super market on black friday.

Market capital of the bitcoin will be increase always whenever the hard fork initiated. During that segregated witness will increase the block size henceforth the transaction speed will more and confirmation time increase but faster than earlier.
Instead of op creating these kind of waste thread he can start create the useful thread to analyze the price value of the next year, new coin compete with bitcoin or price bumping happens this week.

We/All investors or bitcoin holder has different reaction and action on any situation may occurred. This is one reason there is none total dipped on bitcoin in recent years. And the market are more stronger since 2008(2009 I think) your talking about. I don’t know if this is speculation or much of FUD, sending negativity towards the increasing value of bitcoin. I think it works before but the community is immune already.

As the current status of bitcoin going like that it will cross from one universe to another universe because bitcoin is going with light speed which is unstopable so let's invest and earn money with light speed. By the way you have remembered me physics from these two words "Jupiter" and "moon".

2008? I thought bitcoin started on 2009? Do you just mistype it instead of 2009, you typed 2008. I don't have any idea on what will happen again when we came back at the past. We should move on right now as we really can't go back to the past and things are just becoming worse when we keep on thinking about the past. Forget the past because it will just lead you to regret that you never entered bitcoin earlier.

Can you please explain us what happen in 2008 ? Which crash you are talking about ? I heard that bitcoin came into existence in 2009 , so how could it crash before being into existence.
And just for your information, bitcoin can never crash now because people know its not a pump dump coin.

Thats whats the history books says. but i have heard it once crashed from 1000$ to 200$ back in 2010 Era. Even if it crashes this time, it wont be that bad because people are actually using bitcoins in their everyday life's, in their business etc. At that time no one was using bitcoin as a mainstream currency which might have caused people lose confidence in it.
