Thought id share an app iv been using/made.
I mine in a smaller pool as well as a large one. Since I dont want all my time going on the small pool for what could take days/weeks to get a pay out I made this app. It looks at the stats that most pools provide with a api.
It looks at what your expected pay out is then if its above the threshold it will switch to your other pool.

I use it because I only want to aim for 0.50 on my smaller pool but still want to get regular bitcoins from the larger one.

On the setting page there is 7 text boxs here is what each one does.

API URL1 = the smaller pool you want to mine.
API URL2 = the larger pool you want to switch too.

Miner1 = Shell command to switch to smaller mining pool.
Miner2 = shell command to switch to larger mining pool.

Refresh rate = How long before re-downloading the stats page AKA checking when to switch miners I recommend 30 min so you dont spam there api and so you get a decent amount more then your aiming for so you speed more time in the smaller pool before returning.

Offset1 = how many " deep is the expected payout of the smaller pool.
Offset2 = how many " deep is the expected payout of the larger pool.

Example from BTC guild would be
{"user":"confirmed_rewards":0.01080205,"unconfirmed_rewards":0.00000000,"estimated_rewards":0.01229383,"payouts":94.49},"workers"

If you count the " there are 8 so that would be your offset.
It filters out the : and , but iv only tested it on a few pools yet so dont know if theres any that stick other stuff in.

Then on the main page there is text box that says "coins to aim for in miner1:" This is how many coins to aim for. If the smaller pool is below this number it switches to it, If its above this number it switches to the larger pool.

It includes the poclbm miner iv been using since it seems to be the fastest one iv found.
