Jamie Dimon, chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase, says Thursday he's "not going to talk about bitcoin anymore" after causing a stir in September by calling the digital currency a "fraud."

But on Friday, Dimon responds to a question about bitcoin by saying if people are "stupid enough to buy it," they will pay the price for it in the future.

The banking executive did say he believes the blockchain technology behind bitcoin is valid.

Bitcoin is a fraud, but Blockchain is not?  Jamie Dimon is totally insane.  Grin

That is because he cant stop talking about bitcoin. He again said He wont talk about bitcoin anymore.

I am sure he has bought few thousand bitcoins himself. He keeps saying bitcoin is a fraud because that is what he has to say as JPMorgan CEO.

The truth is he is giving more publicity to Bitcoin, I have seen this news in Marketwatch.com and CNBC as well. Grin

Where JPMorgan's money goes tells the real story about what they think of it - don't get caught up in the news

I dont trust banksters, in the past Ive only lost money when Ive listened their advice. They only want to steal money from others. Its ridiculous to think that bankster like Jamie would actually be concerned about other people. He is only concerned of himself. Lying POS.

The problem is, all of these banking CEOs are asked about cryptocurrency CONSTANTLY.  They are asked in media interviews, investor conferences, and earnings calls... Nonstop.

I remember a few years ago the CEOs were constantly asked about p2p lending, and all of them dismissed it except for Goldman.  They are the only ones willing to jump ahead out of the big banks, it seems.  Jamie just is more vocal than other CEOs and sees this as a threat - just like his rant about politicians and regulation a few weeks ago in the last JPM earnings call.

Very stupid if you say bitcoin is a fraud and i disagree. You have to correct it, altcoin fraud and ico scam is definitely there. I think the discussion about Jamie Dimon's words is enough and now enjoy your bitcoin.

note: do not ever swallow the words of others, better analysis first, before you understand what the purpose behind him.

Im referring to this statement:

"Dimon did add on Friday that he believed the blockchain technology behind bitcoin was valid, but he does not understand the value of "non-fiat" digital coins, that is, digital currencies that are not backed by a government."

Here is the link for your reference

If bitcoin is not a digital currency, then why it is listed on major forex exchanges?

https://www.fxopen.com/en/trading-accounts/crypto-bitcoin-account/

or

Maybe Jamie Dimon want's to clarify that bitcoin is not a digital currency but a commodity just like gold.  Grin

I think the problem with most of these people is that they don't see the world changing and that knowledge do fail, and old will become new, I don't want to go hard on him because time will tell who is right here

That's okay. He has freedom to say whatever he want to say. Let him eat the words he say. I think he was humiliated when bitcoin starts to pump up again after the thing he said. Anyway, we can't blame him for what he was doing because bitcoin is really threatening his business. When he said that he will not talk about bitcoin again. https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/jamie-dimon-im-not-going-talk-bitcoin-anymore/ SYKE! Lol! This man is joker. This man in never fail to amuse me. Anyway, calling us stupid quite painful. But let him be. I sense the desperation from him everytime he say something about bitcoin.
