I'm getting parts to connect the psu to the gpu but am unsure of the best way to do this. I'll need a 6pin to 8 pin for the gpu and a 6 pin to 6 pin for the riser. I'm avoiding the 6pin to sata to power the riser because I've read this is a fire hazard. Better safe than sorry, even if it means spending a couple extra bucks. Problem is, I can't find long enough 6 pin to 8 pin cables. I'll probably need at least a 2 foot cable, maybe more to be safe

Should I be buying a 8 pin to 6 pin adapter like this and then using another 6 pin to 6 pin? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812200420

Then I'll still need a 6 pin to 6 pin for the riser. Is there a better way to be doing this? Seems like a lot of cables and if I don't have to use an adapter I'd rather not

Hy,

Why do you need a 6-pin to 8-pin? the PSU u are using doesn't come with 8 pin connectors? I am using this PSU in all of my rigs and it has enough 8-pin connectors for 6 GPUS :

http://www.antec.com/product.php?id=706685&fid=5022117&lan=nz

For risers use directly the molex cables, but take care to do not overload the molex cables (not more than 2 on one line, otherwise u are asking for problems Cheesy)
