EtherDelta is a decentralized exchange, its completely safe to use. I have been using it for about a month now and I don't have any problems with it. Just be sure that you are on the real etherdelta site cause there are tons of fake etherdelta sites.

Etherdelta is a decentralized exchange but bear in your mind,when you want to log in on their website.
you need to import your address and your private keys on it.
so,what will happen if they choose to steal it right away from their costumer ?
well that is the bad case,but always remember it.
that nobody and none of them can guarantee it,even a regulated exchanger can not due a shit about your fund.

ED is a decentralised exchange, written on the Ethereum blockchain. No one holds the private keys and so there is no risk of anyone running off with your tokens. I have transferred funds to and from ED many, many times.

Well you can easily create a new address on etherdelta and for me it's quite safe because my deposit and withdrawal always come in. The only problem on etherdelta is the pending is really fucked up, its like 3-5 hours if you are unlucky waiting until your txid confirmed

It's really safe just as long as you logged in to the correct website because there was a phishing site created that looks exactly the same as the original one. A friend of mine wasn't mindful and lost almost 5btc worth of tokens on his etherdelta because he logged in to the phishing site and someone withdraw everything. But other than that I think it is safe to use, my tokens are still there and are perfectly safe so far.

Just like what others are saying here Etherdelta is a decentralized exchange which means those informations that you do put when you logged in are actually safe which it is just like the same when you do logged in on your mew wallet.Just a friendly tip never ever be victimized on phishing sites specially when inputting your privatekeys and also trading on etherdelta is somehow hard for me and for some.GUI is somehow laggy and long to load and also be sure to read up their instructions on how to execute trades so that you wont waste up ETH.

Even though I don't have much exposure in EtherDelta, but I have used it once. I had joined one bounty campaigns of blockoptions and created an account in Etherdelta for selling that token. I have got around 2.76 ETH from selling the BOPT tokens and also got the timely payout from that website without any issue. I know they are asking for private key to deposit any token balance int heir website, so I suggest you to use new accounts every time where you don't hold your ETH savings. Create an account with myetherewallet and use it for a single trade. This way you can safeguard your ETH holdings. But EtherDelta is the only way for token bounty earners to get some profit. I don't know about any other exchange that accepts token trade.

As long as i know etherdelta is no,problem when we gotta use it in transaction exchange,co'z mostly all of my co bitcoiners and me used it in times of trading exchange  there tokens to ethereum or sometimes sell there to exchange it in fiat.the  only disavantage of etherdelta that it is purely ethereum,and you must go to other trading sites to convert your altcoins into bitcoins.etherdelta asking your private key  as far as i know that it use for deposit only your token balance into there website for next transaction.,but to prevent this you must create another account everytime that you make an transaction exchange in etherdelta for your asset security.

i use etherdelta from a long time , i think etherdelta is a safe and big exchange , all you need is private key and your address to import your account and start trading .

It is one of the most safest exchanges that exist at the moment, i dont think that you can be running out with any risk if you use this one. In fact, it is much more safe than bittrex because they dont store your details, and they do not ask you for the KYC verification.

The design is horrible, and i hate trading in there, but maybe that is the only reason of why it still has a low volume and a lot of people are just saying that etherdelta is probably the only exchange who is not a scam.

Maybe this is the best exchange after shapeshift.

Etherdelta is a save decentralized market for trading, they access your private key because you must import your wallet to there website so start trading.  Dont worry because it is safe you import there. But now, be careful because there is an etherdelta which is a scam website that wants to copy that main one. That was announced by the etherdelta site. So beware and log in at your own sake

I have been trading there for most of the time and  I didnt have a problem even for once.
They also have details there or news about those scam persons that are mimicking their names. You can find it all there including the new tokens that are added.
I vouch for this website, just dont get the wrong one which just have a different spelling with their own. Better bookmark the website when you are in the real one already.

I used this decentralized exchange too for day trade and my experience I dont have problem so far. This is good exchange which we have full control with the account because we have the private key. But important thing , remember when buying and selling dont be confused with amount of zero, because the order can be executed if wrong price.

Concerning issue with private key you can have a specific wallet for selling your coins on etherdelta. I mean you create the wallet on ED and send your coin to the wallet on ED. I think its safe like that.
