Will this be a feature in the new forum?

For example getting a ping if someone @AdolfinWolf'd you?

If not, it might be good ro reconsider adding it, since it really helps keeping certain discussions alive.

As of now, there is no way to know if someone mentioned you,  other then to check your post / thread, which is becoming a bit of a hassle if you post frequently.

Is there any way we can see all the new features being added to the forum aswell?

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Actually there is. Simply click the magnifier icon in upper right section (beside the search box) > type your name in "Search for:" box > choose between how many days > make sure all boards are checked > then click search.

Have you ever successfully used forum search?

It displays some results of my account on google, and if i use the forum searcher itself i get a couple irrelevant posts. It seems pretty broken to me.

See this post about what's wrong with it, it covers it pretty well, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2267996.msg23006054#new

2 reasons (for forum search):

1. Always narrow down your search age (don't leave it up to 9999 days). I always use it within few days and results are pretty accurate.
2. If your account name, consists of some common names (Wolf and etc...), it might end up getting some irrelevant results as well.

Update:
You are the guru of this forum, sometimes I reread all your messages and learn new information.
You would be a great moderator!
Thank you for the kind words, means a lot Smiley
Glad I could be helpful in some ways...

I don't see this feature getting implemented anytime soon, It will just put ton of additional load on the servers, I don't think theymos will be doing it, Imagine searching through a database of A million plus users each time you use the @Search feature. Plus along with this it will require additional development of the notification system, which is a challenge in it self. It will also cause a lot of spam, Users like Lauda etc getting tagged in every other thread.
