Afair some pools sometimes go down, so it's best to use a miner that will switch to alternative when needed.

I've tried wemineltc, givemeltc, but I am very happy with coinotron

I am on WeMine and give-me-ltc. Give-me is pretty good but I keep dropping on it. WeMine fees takes me sometime to get to the same level but has better stats.
