Hello everyone,

Just started mining monero on some RX470s with 8gb samsung, and while with a proper timing I can reach 990h/s in sgminer 5.5.5 on windows, on linux (specifically ethOS with same sgminer) I cannot reach the same result, speed-wise (only 730h/s) nor power-wise. Used same settings in sgminer: rawintensity 896, workload 8, gpu threads 2. Also same bios, and same core/mem freq and voltage.

What am I doing wrong?

Tried higher intensity on linux, and I do get higher speed (880h/s), but the power goes through the roof, rivaling ethereum mining.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Did some more tests, and it seems gpu threads doesn't do anything (be it 1 or 2) in linux, same results with both, while on windows makes a huge impact. It was defined in config as "gpu-threads", should it be different? It's the config that came with ethOS.

Anyone knows? It's really frustrating.
