I thought I read somewhere that the minimum transfer is 5 shares to avoid administration hassles.  It's ok to buy just 1 direct share?

I bought a single AM direct share some time ago ... with a guilty conscience. But it worked, so maybe just bid, if you want to. at least in OP no minimum amount is mentioned.

I would like to, but recently another auction ended with bids winning at 2.51 BTC.  I am hoping the price will come down a little.  2.55 seems high right now.  OP, if you don't get any bids in the next hour and want to lower your starting bid a bit, I am interested.

As far as I know there is no minimum bid for the amount of shares

I've also auctioned some shares (30) last week and friedcat didn't say he had any problems with it that some were for just for 1 share.
But like I mentioned before I feel a bit embarrassed when I have to ask friedcat to transfer just a few shares  in TOTAL.
