Im currently using blockchain.info wallet, but it only allows you to buy $100 or less. If I use an exchange like coinbase could I buy well over $100?

AND does coinable allow you to transfer all your coins to a private (paper) wallet? Or do they want you to keep the bitcoin on their exchange?

Thanks a mil guys

you have to be careful to not order many bitcoins at once but instead order a small amount of bitcoins at a time , cause who knows what might happen if something goes wrong. And Yeah , Coinbase does allow you to buy more than $100 but they have high fees . I suggest you try buying from localbitcoin .

You can buy large amount of bitcoins in coinbase but the fees is also high. From what country are you from? You can buy bitcoin at https://localbitcoins.com. It was safe and secured transacting and buying there. Choose your country and place then look for the cheapest offer.

Coin base can allow you to buy a large amount of bitcoin but the problem in coin base is the high fees.

You can also use a decentralized exchange like Bisq (former Bitsquare). It is more secure and private then other exchanges and of course there are no limits, since it is decentralized so there is no hard process in creating a new account, just like in Bitcoin. There are safety limits per trade, but they are quite high and are rarely reached by traders. You can always run multiple trades at the same time as well of course.
