Although the same spreadsheet error occurs on Excel too, you can still view it when you press ok.
I can't view it in OpenOffice even if I press ok or repair. Would love to see this fixed so I can check the spreadsheet.
If you change the file extension to XLSX, it should open fine.
The file is actually an XLSX file, and not an XLS file. Excel "understands" differences in file formats, but if one isn't what it's ostensibly supposed to be, it throws that error.
I don't use OO much, but my guess is that it's going strictly from the file extension, and then unable to open it.
