So I was going to buy this card but did a little research before hand.  The picture above with your hand and note in it looks fake.  It may be the lighting, so that by itself is not definitive in terms of this being a fraudulent sale.  To clear that up, please draw a cat on a sheet of paper and place it atop the box with the card propped up sideways against the box and post that picture.

But, what really got me wondering is how a 15 year old boy from Loughborough, Leics has managed to land a job that requires him to fly from China to the UK often.  I question the authenticity of this, Iain.  I would ask that you provide a bit more proof that you have the card and intend to sell it.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

I looked into buying this card as well but there were a couple of other red flags.

1) Other than the posts where he is selling the card, OP only has a handful of one-sentence posts without much content.

2) His first post is from June 24, 2011, 11:37:24 pm where mentions he "just ordered 2 6990's" then on June 25, 2011, 06:16:19 pm (not even a day later) he is already selling one of them. Now that's really quick shipping for an item that's out of stock everywhere. And why would someone sell below cost the very same day they received it?

3) After being contacted by PM he refused multiple times to use an escrow service for the purchase, even though I offered to pay for all the fees myself. Instead he said he was "little time pressured" because he had to leave town this week, "wished he had more time to alleviate my concerns", and asked me to "trust him one this one" -- sure signs of a scam.

He was pleasant enough to communicate with over PMs though, I'll give him that Smiley

Excellent... well this info is:

Iain King, 15 years old
Lives in Loughborough, Leicester UK and goes to Loughborough Grammar School.

He is about 6'2" tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes

Someone go explain to this tool why being a douche on the internet on a forum full of technical geeks is a really bad idea.

Here's some pics:

Thanks guys, would have been nice if you posted your concerns 10 minutes earlier Wink

I'm afraid I did fall for this, in my defence I only saw the picture on my phone.

Anyway, made a payment of 15 BTC to 1B4cRLiQBN2RD8tahdg5gH3f9whqVHUQ67, the rest was to be paid upon receipt.

Obviously I could just go and kick the shit out of him (now I have all his info) but have given him the chance to return the coins to http://blockexplorer.com/address/1BnxxW16gmL2EoZHmjm46tcpP8QQNTNJbX .

We'll see...

The coins will be returned or he will seriously regret stealing them Wink

Yeah, I should have read through his post history, it was quite obvious really  Grin

It's a shame we live a couple of hundred miles apart. Good news is I have some very good friends in Nottingham who will be happy to pay him a visit.

Shit, sorry dude. I did actually spot that this was photoshopped when he posted this. The hand is really poorly cut out, and the image has no EXIF data from the camera, meaning it was done in photoshop. I actually posted this in IRC and a couple of guys also confirmed that it was most likely photoshopped. I didn't get around posting the warning here though as I really hate making false accusations (if now it wasn't photoshopped), and I am kind of shy lol.

Anyway, I hope you somehow will get your 15BTC back
