Where is Madbyte heading? We have talked in the past about different projects we would like to see get underway but some have failed to materialize, such as the gaming platform. It is our hope that in the future we will have better news on the gaming side. When a team is tiny like ours and also have other projects that are outside of the crypto space, these things don’t always happen or else they get shelved until later. So once again we will be putting more effort to the gaming side over the next several months and we hope that something gets released. If you are interested in assisting with tokenized leaderboard gaming for our Madbyte token please don’t hesitate to contact us on discord.

Previously, the only place to trade your token was on the Madcapx.com platform. If you read last month's update, the Madbyte token is now on Waves.Exchange. We continued this month to add to the order books on other pairings. Now there are 5 pairings that the token can be traded on: USDT, ETH, LTC, BTC, and WAVES. Yes, the token is super cheap to buy; on MadTrade it is hovering around $0.002 and on the Waves exchange it is around $0.005.

While we have been using the Ethereum network’s ERC20 smart contracts for the MADX token, now our token is also on the Waves network as “Madbyte”. Though, to move between networks you will need to use the Madcapx platform. If your tokens are already on that platform all you have to do is withdraw to your Waves address on the Waves.exchange or a wallet that supports that network such as the Trust Wallet.

On the Madcapx platform, the MADX ERC20 token withdrawal option is disabled until Ethereum can fix their high transfer fee problems.

Madbyte Update - June 1, 2021

This crazy roller coaster we call cryptocurrency just keeps going with the recent insane drops in price all across the board. As investors like to say, it's a good time to pick up some discounted assets.

We have added a new box to the MadCapX dashboard for our weekly featured coin with a link to the corresponding research newsletter. For members that are tier 3 and higher, you can now find a suggestion form on the "previously featured assets" page. This lets our community have a say in what you would like to see reviewed. Although we will take any suggestions into consideration, we do like to stick with highly ranked cryptocurrencies or ones that we feel are future gems. We will not be reviewing pump-and-dump or scammy assets. We will also start adding a hint for the next week's featured asset, so be on the lookout for that and see if you can guess it correctly.

Marketing Madbyte is something we have not done outside of our social media channels. We have been consistent in writing newsletters and updates to stay in touch with our community over the last several years and lately started writing a weekly research newsletter about digital assets that has 32 issues thus far. We were wondering if some of our members would be interested in becoming grassroots social media ambassadors in growing our Madbyte community in exchange for monthly rewards. Madbyte Update - July 1, 2021

Welcome to summer for those living in the northern regions and perhaps the start of returning to normal as the Covid virus seems to be under control in parts of the world. Everyone is wondering if we are officially back in a bear crypto market or just taking a break before continuing ever upward, we should have an answer to this in the coming months.

Meanwhile, regulators in some countries push to crackdown on securities trading, causing huge centralized exchanges like Binance to pull out. Unfortunately, several Madbyte members live in Ontario, Canada, which is one of the places Binance is discontinuing services for. Time to start looking more into decentralized exchanges!

In the coming month, we will be changing around our MadCapX panel a bit by making changes to the portfolio page so it will no longer focus on Binance; rather you will be able to manually add and track all your external holdings (much like Blockfolio).

Our plans for madxgames.com continue to be in a state of flux and we are not sure if we are running a long marathon or if even the project makes it to the end of the race. We can be more definitive on the gaming project as we finish off the summer season.

Madbyte Update - August 1, 2021

When the Madbyte coin was created back in early 2017 as a Proof-of-Work minable coin, Bitcoin was about $1000 USD in value. The prediction in 2017 was that BTC would end the year at about $3000 by several different people. It overshot it to almost $20,000. Today we are at about $40,000 with many predicting $100,000 by the end of the year. Though, there are also several who are looking for BTC to dump back to $20,000.

When we created our Madbyte coin, we were interested in learning more about how crypto currencies worked and what it takes to run a digital currency. We created mining pools, dipped our toes into ASIC mining hardware, and helped with the creation of a crypto exchange. In 2019 we swapped our coin into an ERC20 token to prevent the PoW minable coin from being 51% attacked since it had such a small community mining it.

The crypto digital asset space is young, with many things still to be tried and tested. There will be many new crypto projects that will come and go. For the last 9 months we have been writing a newsletter that covers research on a different crypto each week. This week we are on our 40th newsletter and slowly we have seen our base of readers grow. It has been a paid newsletter up to now, but as of the next newsletter we will make it free and open for all to read.

Madbyte Update - September 1, 2021

This month, our new custom portfolio feature has been enabled for members. If you check out the MadFolio section of the panel, you will now see an area that allows you to list custom assets, along with the amount you hold and note for each. This feature is similar to how FTX (formerly Blockfolio) works. By default, the price will be automatically updated a few times a day, but you can also choose to manually set the value if you wish. If you do not see a coin or token that you would like to track, contact us on Discord and we will look into adding it.

There are literally thousands of cryptocurrencies in existence. Some dominate the news and then there are the others you have never heard of since they have such small communities. Madbyte is one of those currencies/assets that only has a small community. We have joined a group of people that work on community coins (https://communitycoins.org/) from around the world. This will allow us to learn and help improve Madbyte in the long term. We will also be adding some of these smaller coins to our custom portfolio in the panel.

Once again, we have some hidden projects being worked on that will utilize Madbyte token. Learning from making premature project announcements in the past, we will not be giving any information on these as they are all in various stages of development. Madbyte Update - October 1, 2021

Last month, we added the ability to track your custom assets in the MadFolio page of the MadCapX panel. We have now added the assets from communitycoins.org into this system as well, although you are not able to select automatic price tracking at this time. The coins include Canada eCoin (CDN), e-Gulden (EFL), Cryptoescudo (CESC), Auroracoin (AUR), Russian Bitcoin (RUBTC), Sterlingcoin (SLG), Fujicoin (FJC), Pakcoin (PAK), and PrivateNess (NESS).

Community coins do not have a CEO or a company behind them that make the decisions. Usually there are several people coming up with ideas and ways to improve the coin. When people come together on a regular basis to make the community strong, the better the ideas will be. In relation to many of the coins listed above there usually are at least 2 or more people, who on a regular basis, are planning new ways to improve either their blockchain or their use case in turn that can create more value for the coin. One of the downfalls is that community coins are many times only 2 or 3 people who are doing most of the heavy lifting. You can help your community coin with development, getting the word out, liquidity (that means providing buy and sell support, not only selling), and connecting with the community. It does take some effort but it can be rewarding and fun.

Madbyte Update - January 1, 2022

MADX currently trades as an ERC20 and a Waves token, but we are not stopping there. There are so many other blockchain networks that our MADX token could be added to that would open up new opportunities and features. One such opportunity in the first part of 2022 is to get on a swap exchange that has low transaction fees.

The simple token field game inside the MadCapX member panel will be re-implemented on another website with some new features. This allows us to test new ways to interact with MADX and possibly birth new uses for the token.

2021 was an interesting year in crypto. Bitcoin increased in value by 60%. It became legal tender in El Salvador, several Bitcoin ETFs started trading on the Canadian stock market, an upgrade on Bitcoin called Taproot could spur DeFi growth on it, and 90% of Bitcoin is now mined. 2022 could be the year you decide to make BTC your USD. For the BTC pairing trader in 2021, ETH gained 213%, ADA was up 340%, BNB was up 750%, SOL was up 7358%, and MATIC was up 10,590% just to name a few. Some crazy gains.

Madbyte Update - March 1, 2022

The MADX token is now available on the Fantom blockchain. You can check out our Fantom smart contract at ftmscan.com and do trading at SpookSwap. Within the MadCapX panel, members can now deposit and withdraw Fantom-based MADX in their vaults, but processing of requests will not start until later this week. With this addition, MADX now exists on three different blockchains: Ethereum, Waves, and Fantom.

We are now accepting registrations at madxfield.com using the invite code "testing". This is our external version of the MadCapX token field which will only have rewards available to be collected if they are supplied by players. Our staff will regularly be putting in some MADX as well as the occasional LTC (and possibly other coins) into chests. We will also now be giving out larger prizes at the end of each period (currently set as monthly) to the player who has attacked the most others. Anybody will be able to set their tokens and coins for random distribution onto the field if they desire. Although not available yet, you will be able to deposit/withdraw from your profile page and transfer tokens to and from your madcapx.com account. There is a "shoutout" feature which allows players to have their custom text message with link displayed on the front page. Control of the shoutout is determined daily by whoever has bid the most MADX the previous day. Expect more upcoming features in the future for madxfield.com.

Madbyte Update - April 1, 2022

Last month we announced that MADX token was available on the Fantom network. As you may know, there are several decentralized exchanges (DEXs) utilizing Fantom to trade tokens that have been created on that blockchain. There are now small amounts of liquidity in several different DEXs for the MADX token. SpookySwap is the one with most liquidity, though still low. Others that have liquidity are SpiritSwap, SushiSwap, and PaintSwap.

The madxfield.com game is progressing with the first reward given out for the most violent player. Though it is in beta release and requires an invite code, “testing”, it is available for players to try their skills to win the next period rewards using the MADX token to move, build and attack. The reward for the "most violent" will increase throughout the month.

If you are a Madcapx member, you can now easily move MADX, BTC, and LTC from the MadVault to your MadxField account with no fees. It is a great way for those with a few extra tokens or coins to add to this months reward, encouraging new players to participate.

At the end of a set period, whoever is at the top of the leaderboard for the most violent acts receives the reward that has been accumulating and is displayed under the leaderboard stats.

We have also enabled instant transfers of MADX, BTC, and LTC between your MadCapx and MadxField wallets.

To cash out of MADX tokens we suggest using SpookySwap exchange on the Fantom network and the MetaMask browser wallet. There is plenty of information on the Internet on how to set up Fantom on Metamask and how to connect it to a swap exchange.

Madbyte Update - June 1, 2022

These past few months have shown how volatile the crypto markets can be as Bitcoin went down over 60%. Terra Luna was completely wiped out because of its UST stablecoin de-pegging event. Some crypto coins such as Monero XMR weathered the storm fairly well, being up 60% to BTC and 35% against USD.

Our MADX token is tied to the Fantom token since it is on SpookySwap and paired to FTM, so it has gone down in value against USD. There is a small liquidity pool that has been started on Spooky against USD that will arbitrage with the MADX/FTM pairing. In the future, we will continue to explore other alternative networks and swap exchanges to place the MADX token.

As we continue developing play-to-earn crypto games, we would like to see the game token easily accessible on several networks.

Madbyte Update - July 1, 2022

The MADX token on SpookySwap is trading at $0.0011 USD currently. In February 2022, it hit a high of $0.0074. Solana is down 84%, Fantom is down 94%, Ethereum is down 82%, and Bitcoin is down 74%. Similar to the many other altcoins in the market, the MADX token is down 84%. It is not only the crypto market that has losses this huge; traditional markets also have many stocks down 60 to 80%. How much lower are we going is the question many have or is the market close to the bottom already?

We have been covering Bitcoin and many of the altcoins in our MadCapX research newsletter that several of you get. Next week we will be writing our 75th issue that will look back at some of the coins and tokens and how they have fared in this bear market. Going forward from there, we will be reconfiguring the newsletter and starting to cover different topics instead of just individual asset research.

MADX is now available on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). The token contract with address 0x0607477E803d2e8f45E1afaF0CF0b7aE926cc3D2 can be found on bscscan.com. Add that to your BSC wallet and trade MADX on PancakeSwap.

There is already a small amount of liquidity in two pools: MADX/WBNB and MADX/BUSB. The price on PancakeSwap, as of this writing, is at approximately $0.109 per MADX, a lot higher than $0.001 on other swaps. To buy or sell MADX on the swap you will need a little bit of BNB on the BSC chain for transaction fees in your wallet, such as a Metamask or Trust wallet. To transfer MADX from another network to BSC you will need to go through our Madcapx members panel and use the Madvault to withdraw your tokens to your wallet. If you have MADX in the Madxfield game you can transfer them into your account on Madcapx and withdraw from there.

If you haven’t used DEXs (decentralized exchanges) or DeFi (decentralized finance) before this it a good chance to get your feet wet and see how easy it is.

Over the last few years the Madbyte crypto asset (coin/token) has transitioned from a Proof-of-Work minable coin similar to Bitcoin and Litecoin to a token that is dependant on other blockchains to exist. MBYT coin was swapped into the MADX token on the Ethereum blockchain in late 2019. It was added to Waves network in April 2021 and then to the Fantom network March 2022 and is now available on BSC.

Madbyte Update - October 1, 2022

On September 15, 2022, the Merge happened on the Ethereum blockchain, removing the need for the original Proof-of-Work consensus layer and replacing it with the newer Proof-of-Stake version that had been running in parallel for almost two years. This new upgraded Ethereum requires 99.95% less energy consumption to run.

In 2021 Ethereum saw several layer-2 (separate blockchain that extends Ethereum and inherits the security guarantees of Ethereum) solutions emerge that have lowered the cost of using it. The current average transaction on layer-2 is only $0.05. It wasn’t uncommon in 2021 to see fees go over $50 per transaction on the Ethereum mainnet.

Madbyte moved onto the Ethereum network in early 2019 when fees were less than $0.02 per transaction; by 2020, the transaction fees had risen so much it had become unusable for small transactions.

Now with the Merge, layer-2 solutions and sharding coming in the future, Ethereum is looking like a great future blockchain for Madbyte [MADX] to take further advantage of.

Madbyte Update - November 1, 2022

Today we focus on our token and how you can get some for yourself. The MADX token is found on 4 different blockchains, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Fantom and Waves. We will highlight the BSC and Fantom networks in this update.

First you need a wallet that supports BSC or Fantom. Metamask wallet works well as a browser extension that supports many networks. There are several different wallets you can use such as the Trust wallet on your smartphone and the “Wallet Connect” feature in decentralized exchanges (DEX).

The wallet will need some BNB or FTM to pay for transaction fees. Once setup you will be able to buy MADX with any token in your wallet on that network.

The DEX to use for the Binance Smart Chain would be PancakeSwap. For the Fantom network you would use SpookySwap. A transaction fee on Spooky when buying a small amount of MADX, last we looked, was less than $0.001 and on PancakeSwap it was a little over $0.20. A huge difference, but both were reasonable unless you are only buying low amounts.
