Bitmessage is a stopgap. Any ideas?

www.crypto.cat isn't VOIP,  but seems very easy to use for chat.

People should be more upset about this.

This is why encryption isn't just a mathematical concept, but now, also a social need. I think it is imperative that we get very good apps built that allow for easy use for the typical human.  Distributed exchanges, fully encrypted voice transmission (end to end), fully encrypted textual apps (bitmessage, cryptocat), etc.

Governments will claim they need power of eavesdropping on anybody at any time for the purposes of combating terrorists.  This is bullshit.  The FBI knew about the Boston Bombers and didn't do diddly squat and people got their fucking limbs blown off regardless.  The federal government wants power over people. (and they already have a serious head start over the last century or so).   Cry Cry Cry
