Lol, UkCrypto sold his piece for a higher USD value than what he paid

I can't even make fun of you folks anymore because it's obvious that none of you care what you spend money on  Roll Eyes

No longer buying/selling Casascius coins. Beware scammers.

Have you ever sold something so expensive on eBay?  I'm curious how the process went/goes for you.

Yep. Generally smooth.

Interesting thing is once you get above ~25-30K usd, credit cards aren't an option for most people due to credit limits. This means bank/wire transfers. I provide a receive account, they wire me money, my bank confirms, I send the product and deal is done. No chargeback threat. Coin dealers sell 5-6+ figure exceptionally rare coins on ebay all the time, similar arrangement.

Occasionally people offer to pay in bitcoin, but wire transfer has been much more common for high value.

I have a cas 10btc gilt in minty fresh ungraded condition.

Looking for 18btc OBO. Escrow or in-person can be arranged. Will consider cash USD, gold bullion, other crypto coins, or a fast Audi in trade.

It's the one that's been on ebay for the past few moons: https://www.ebay.com/itm/202079061656

And yes, my ask there is ridiculous intentionally (to encourage direct offers). Will entertain any reasonable offers here, PM or post.

I'll even throw in a SEALED pre-fork satori roll for free! OH DAYUM

I'm definitely interested in this coin as well as the 25 BTC coin. 18 BTC seems high, but I'd probably be willing to spend 15 BTC if it's a graded 68-70. Trying to put together a casascius collection, but only interested in mints.

My coin is minty fresh and in immaculate condition, but ungraded. I am looking for more than 15btc tho. Thanks!

Can anyone point to any successful sales of high denomination coins like these in recent times? All I can see are examples that appear to linger for years on end.

I believe there was one other user on this forum that tried selling a 10BTC Cas with a golden heart on it for around 18 BTC. Not sure if he ever got it sold but I think he bumped it for over a year without success..
