This place is on the famous "Walking Street" of Angeles City, Philippines, which is basically a giant red light district.

No, I didn't do any "research" to find out how to "make it rain Satoshis", but I probably should have!

The Philippines is probably one of the most pro-bitcoin countries in the east, it would appear for now:

So basically, you are looking for donation so that you can check it out on someone's else expenses.. I doubt anyone would think of donating at this Corona moment but don't take my words to demotivate you. I really hope that you get some to experience that Smiley Good luck!!
Common men the post is 3 years old so basically even that Strip club is already closed by now(of course that is just my speculation)
and besides there is a lot of things that may change in that long duration,What i am sure here is OP was just wanted to Document about the spreading of Bitcoin in Philippines of course not in His own expense since He will be doing this for the community and also for the market.

So basically, you are looking for donation so that you can check it out on someone's else expenses.. I doubt anyone would think of donating at this Corona moment but don't take my words to demotivate you. I really hope that you get some to experience that Smiley Good luck!!

I don't live there anymore so unfortunately the offer has expired, lol.
Oh,Thats sad to hear coz i thought you are staying in Philippines for good yet you have leaved now.

Weird that somebody would bump this thread after over 2.5 years. It must come up in Google search results for "Bitcoin" and "strip club" or something. It's not even a "strip club" -- its called a "bikini bar," but I wrote that post before I knew any better.
Sure thing,For His own Interest of knowing about Strip clubs accepting Bitcoin and lucky that you are the only thread creator that reflects .
Quote
When I was there, I did talk to a guy who was the manager of a club across the street. I asked him if they also accepted bitcoin and he said "yes," but they add a 25% surcharge to it to cover taxes! They have to do the same thing with credit cards. And the minimum you could spend to pay in BTC or CC was $200, which is 10,000 pesos. So you'd really have to be there to party and throw money around to make it worthwhile.
25% surcharge is enough that Year because the volatility of Bitcoin that time is really showing harsh thats why they need assurance .

This is great way to gain bigger privacy. Even no one will wait it there, I am always saying, that better will be to have Monero also there. But people are still saying, that no one accepts it and they don't buy it. And shops are not offering payment option, cause no one pays with it. But there will be still people who will use it and their number will only rise.

I think that the Philippines has started to rely on cryptocurrencies very significantly and that this accreditation is very good and will help gather crypto users inside this country because many large companies and commercial stores in different countries have started to rely on these currencies and I hope that these currencies will be relied upon All over the world as soon as possible

So you'd really have to be there to party and throw money around to make it worthwhile.

I think that's not worth it for me. I'm not into those party clubs where there are a lot of girls out there that wants to be paid if they want to.

This approach is really a good idea for the mass adoption of bitcoin, but I really don't see it as a benefit for me when I want to spend my bitcoin assets to some other things.

I will prefer to do other activities or settings than going to strip clubs where I will just waste my money. It is better to organize a private party where you and your friends can enjoy and celebrate whenever you want just by spending your bitcoin. But i know that it is still hard to find a grocery store that accepts bitcoin, that's the problem here.

It's interesting but I'm not sure if it'd be a first.
A few years back someone had tried going on a forum where freelance women working the nights would often post and offered BTC to anyone of them willing to accept his offer.
This was a few years ago and no girl had taken the offer of 1 BTC being given to them for free essentially because they considered it sketchy. I'll have to try and find it because it was kinda funny tbh.

Things might be a little different these days in terms of how widespread knowledge on BTC is and how Bitcoin's reputation holds up.
But The thing is, prostitution could have been a place for acceptange of BTC but the current regulatory environment in the US essentially kills this possibility. At least for conducting it legally. Girls working the night even illegally will still prefer to  receive cash other than anything else because for a user without much experience it's still very hard to convert BTC bach to a form of currency they could easily spend on the super market. Especially without it being traced back to their activities.

For me, it would have still been more impressive to see women discovering BTC and utilizing it for their activities as freelancers. Girls working in clubs are employees essentially. But to their credit it's perhaps one of the few ways they can earn with their body legally in the states. Of course there's also the rest of the world but US is the biggest market hence why its always interesting to look at what's going on there for BTC adoption across various sectors.

How is the Corona situation in Philippines, is everything back to normal. I missed the normal days of going to clubs and hopefully everything will be back to normal.

I think you need to be a very strange guy to pay with bitcoin in this kind of club. In essence, you will announce "I have a Bitcoin wallet with me."
how is it strange? you don't have to announce that you have a bitcoin wallet you could just ask the teller or any staff if they accept bitcoin and the transaction can begin.

To do this, there is this sticker or not, you all will be at risk.
Any criminal elements of the club can try to get your bitcoins, one way or another. I would prefer to withdraw bitcoin in another way, and pay the strippers cash.
what's the difference between the risk of having cash and bitcoin? and why would a "criminal element" would only target you just because you have bitcoin?

I don't live there anymore so unfortunately the offer has expired, lol.
seeing that you're disappointed it seems that you were a regular customer haha. just kidding!

I've been to Angeles City a few times, but never heard of this strip club because I am not really into that kind of life (except if it's business or crypto after-parties).

It's a good thing though about them accepting Bitcoin for payments. It would definitely create awareness for "hardcore" regular customers out there in this strip club lol. It creates curiosity for other neighboring establishments regarding Bitcoin.

It would be better if they have a LED board (especially during night time) that says "We accept Bitcoin".

Good idea, for people that don't what others to know that they are visiting strip clubs, paying with bitcoin as a solution to avoid being tracked through credit/debit cards is good. Though, I hope there will be other businesses that aside from strip clubs to accept bitcoin such as barbershops, groceries, restaurants. Perhaps, this will be possible if bitcoin will be properly introduced to the government.

The only issue I could think is how government will handle bitcoin taxes as bitcoin is made with the opposite intention for third party financial sectors.

I mean, why not?  Grin It's a good thing that people are integrating Bitcoin in their businesses even if it is a strip club. It's a small step. I bet it's not just the Philippines that does this.

How is the Corona situation in Philippines, is everything back to normal. I missed the normal days of going to clubs and hopefully everything will be back to normal.

Thank you for the concern. Although things are getting back to normal, there's still a lot of cases that is being discovered everyday. Quarantine might continue but it's getting normal and controlled now.

I've been to Angeles City just once for a site visit during my on-the-job training. So, this is really the first time I've heard of a club accepting bitcoin. I've heard of small businesses like "sari-sari" stores, and gas stations accepting bitcoin but not this one. I'm quite surprised actually to know that though the post was almost 3 years ago.

Anyway, assuming that it's still open but most likely not, that's kinda cool but I just don't know if there would be people who would use bitcoin in such expense. Is it really worth it? Well, it's just my personal opinion. If they want to use their acquired btc in such place, then why not? Grin

It would be better if they have a LED board (especially during night time) that says "We accept Bitcoin".
It would probably call the attention of people. They might even try to go inside the club just out of curiosity and talk to the manager about it. There would be some discussions for sure. But, the best option is just to do some research about it. At least, they gave people the idea of what bitcoin is about.

They might have their QR codes in their panties, I never heard of this kind of place though, maybe this is deemed illegal by authorities because they are trying to do business and avoid taxes.

When going to a strip club, you are basically announcing that you have the funds to spend there. Any criminal will try to steal your funds and it doesn't matter if it's in fiat or in bitcoin.

Another thing, it's just common sense to use a separate wallet for your expenditures. The rest should be in another secure wallet for safekeeping. I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to bring a larger amount with them while going to a leisure place.

There are many people haunted by the tangible goods they bought with BTC back in the day when prices were lower, imagine how you'd feel if you looked back at blowing future thousands on paying some stumpy, sturdy lass from the provinces to wiggle her bum at you in a deeply bored and repelled manner.

I would genuinely prefer to send the money to a burn address. At least you're making an infinitesimal contribution to scarcity.

That's surprising since in my country a common man don't even know what's bitcoin and how to use it. All they will say "Oh yeah, bitcoin I have heard this term somewhere in the news, but I don't know what it is for". Lolz.

So we are literally in primordial stage of bitcoin and here we are, you guys throwing away bitcoins on a stripper in a night club. That's funny, how we see the world is at different pace of accepting the bitcoins.

I believe the club owner must be some bitcoin freak that's why he put it as payment method. And surely the strippers may not even have any idea what's bitcoin is.
