I just noticed there are some OMG tokens in my wallet. I never purchased them and have no idea how they ended up in my wallet.

Can someone give me a quick explanation why are the tokens in my wallet (I assume OMG guys wired them) and what is the purpose of all this.

I dont feel like reading all their marketing stuff and waste time for that, so a quick recap would be very useful!

Congratulation, probably it is the OMG airdrop for ETH holders. Do you have ETH at the time of airdrop happened?

You can read the following website for more information.

You're extremely lucky. That is probably one of the best tokens you could have just magically appear in your wallet. OMG is a great project with a lot of potential.

Someone either accidentally sent it to you (highly unlikely) or you received it during an airdrop (tokens sent to ETH holders).

Out of curiosity, how much did you receive?

Some months ago, every eth holders on myetherwallet have received some OMG if they had at least a certain amount of ETH on their wallet.

I was stupid enough to only have one ether on my wallet and the rest on the exchanges. But it gave me a very little amount of OMG. Better than nothing. We can appreciate the gesture.

Hi, oh it was the airdrop... I thought airdrops were made only when you published your wallet address to be randomly selected - and not just like this "cold" transfers. Seems a terrible waste of money IMO!
Why would they do that?

To answer your question: so I have a few wallets and more than one of those wallets got a very small amount of OMGs. I guess I must be incredibly lucky for that. But all together it wasnt much, around 6$ at current rate. Its still free money! Smiley
