Very new here. Last night I purchased some erc 20 coins and it has been confirming for more than 7 hours, 1700 confirmations.
What's going on?
I searched the forum a good half an hour before I made this post trying to not waste peoples time.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

If you can see the transaction there shouldn't be a problem.

Due to I don't know which coin you mentioned, I advise you to look it up on the internet how long transactions of the coin usually take, because it also depends on the coins. DeepOnion for instance is very fast, but emc2 need very many confirmations.
Another reason could be that you used very less gas.
