yes, I know that they allow fiat withdrawals only for verified users. But their site explicitly tells:
Quote
Attention Users: From May 30th 2013 all withdrawals and deposits in fiat currency will require account verification. However withdrawals and deposits in Bitcoin (BTC) do not require verification.

Yet, when I try to withdraw 2 BTC, I am informed that

I successfully transferred 1.5 BTC from one Mt. Gox account to another about an hour ago, and just now I was able to send 2 BTC to an external address, so it's not a site-wide problem. You may want to submit a support request (https://support.mtgox.com/anonymous_requests/new).

@orymh: it helps to know that it is not site-wide problem, just wondering whether you are verified.

I made a support request an hour ago, but who knows when they reply..

I'm not in the verification queue yet, so if you've submitted the documents for verification, that's one difference. I hope support can help!

no, central Europe, no tor/proxy/VPN

okay, so it seems only local problem, not part of something bigger

But I must agree, it is an error to leave large amount of money on MtGox (or maybe on any server, but transaction fees and my laziness prevailed Sad  )

Yeah, and you only have 2 btc or more?

Mt. Gox will request identification information (such as an identity card, invoices, Government issued photographic identification, utility bill, residential certificate, signed certification of cohabitation, or similar, banking information) depending on the amounts deposited on the Accounts or the presence of suspicious activity which may indicate money-laundering or other illegal activity. Identification of the bank account from which funds are transferred to the Account may also be requested.

I've had the same problem before; account limited. I think the thing that did it was connecting from another country. I travel a lot so maybe it was that. Hopefully I'll get a chance to go back to the country I opened the account from one day to login and withdraw... I'm never submitting ID - talk about financial suicide

ah, I see now, I was connecting from 2 places, 2 IP addresses, one of them is running Tor exit node also. So to MtGox, it appears as if I am connecting via Tor, which might be suspicious in itself. And maybe someone was doing nasty things using my IP, so I am also suspicious. OK, this may explain something...

And I traded around 50 BTC in last 30 days (still not enough for them to lower trade fees Sad). Not a pocket change.

In case someone is interested, I got this reply from mtgox support, so I know this officially:

If your account is pending review, there are 3 main reasons for this. You transgressed one of the following Mt.Gox rules as follows:

- You have more than one account.
- You are using services like TOR, VPN, proxies, shared address IP or any public networks
- You are not making deposits or withdrawal with your personal account.

Anyway, thanks for you replies.
