Escrow is easy.  There is a list of reputable escrow agents here.  You set up a deal, buyer sends coin to escrow.  You ship miners, upon confirmation of reciept of as described goods, escrow release funds to you.  Done a zillion deals like that without hitch.  What do you expect people to just blindly send an irreversible payment to a new username on a forum...if you use it you should be able to sell easily here

I've had more than a few 'Newbie' sellers off the Marketplace that claim to do Escrow , but want payment of shipping fees upfront.

They are scams, as these dbags don't mind making up new accounts and scamming a few people out of small BTC with no recourse, thinking they are getting a deal.

BEWARE people.

Rules & Suggestions for picking out scams :
No Escrow = SCAM
Escrow, but pay for shipping upfront = SCAM

When dealing with a member for escrow, double and triple check their username and trust feedback.
Check their profile which will show if they have recently changed their passwords. If YES, be careful!

Also, the old Bait and Switch.
They claim to have on hand item for shipment, yet after dealing, turns out they are for 'pre-order' or future delivery date.
Only a moron would buy something with a future delivery date knowing the difficulty increases and possibility of a total SCAM.

Word about the Trust system :
Lately I've seen it act 'funny' by not properly showing positive feedback, so bear that in mind.
Negative feedback sometimes could just be an accused scammer trying to 'get even' by leaving some BS feedback.. (Like in my trust feedback)

Used and trusted Escrow members off this forum I have used and would use again :
Philipma1957
OgNasty

*I will update this with usefull suggestions and info throughout my membership.*

Thank you we need to take this lowlife scammers away they are destroying this forum

The ONLY time escrow I would consider not a necessity is if there is trade history of the person that is receiving the money and you have checked that their password has NOT changed. If the password has changed, there is a chance they have been hacked, or the account was sold to somebody else for the status.

I have bought with no escrow and sold with no escrow before with no issues, because as a seller my trade history is clear, all my negatives for example are from people leaving such in spite even though I was the one getting screwed before. Either way, read people's trade history and make educated decisions on whom to deal with.

No matter WHAT excuse people say on here as sellers, there is NO reason not to use a trusted members' Escrow services.

Last week was selling my a3, tried to set up escrow to facilitate transaction but after contacting 5 people from the list of trusted escrow did not get help. Either did not escrow for physical items or was told they didn't want to help a newbie account. Thankfully me and the buyer exchanged enough info to get the sell complete successful but would for any future transactions would like to use the safe way for buyer and seller. Any suggestions to who is still willing to help new accounts such as mine for buying or selling miners?

Unfortunately 90% of Newbie accounts are scams so I don't blame the Escrow people to be very cautious.

Maybe after you have some forum and trade history it will be easier to get trust.

Easy ways to weed out scam accounts :

ONLY posts in the marketplace to buy and sell items.
ONLY posts useless posts in non market threads. No real input to topics just bumping their post count.

I understand being cautious with new accounts. It was just frustrating to not get the help of trusted members.
To gain ranking takes months, not so helpful when buying/selling miners now since time is of the essence.
But, that's their prerogative, can deny service to who they choose.

Thank you, Threads such as this DO help newbies learn how easy they could be scammed from the sometimes nuanced scams (shipping payment scam).

Any experience or warnings with escrow.com?
Website looks fine, just don't know if trusted here. 10% fee a bit steep though.
