On April 4, Eunsol Lee, CEO of MediBloc, gave a keynote speech on ‘MediBloc’s Vision’ at Severance Hospital. The hospital was founded 132 years ago and is one of the leading organizations of the medical institutions in Korea. Eunsol introduced what MediBloc project is about, what can be achieved through MediBloc platform, and how blockchain technology would be used to achieve that goal. It was great to see how healthcare professionals from the nation's leading medical institution were eager to find out how the industry could be reinvented through our platform.

📮[EVENT] MediBloc team at Seoul Crypto Meetup

Wookyun Kho, CEO of MediBloc, attended Seoul Crypto Meetup on April 7th, hosted by Storm. Wookyun briefly went over the roadmap of MediBloc and stated that SDK for application development and smart contracts would be released in May 2018 as written in the whitepaper. The following session was panel discussions where representatives of blockchain projects including MediBloc, Storm, Upbit, Kyber Network and ICON talked about the requirements and appropriate direction for blockchain and cryptocurrency to be applied to everyday life.

📮[EVENT] MediBloc team at Beyond Blocks

On April 4-5, MediBloc team attended Beyond Blocks in Tokyo. Beyond Blocks is an online and offline platform for blockchain enthusiasts to network, gather information and share insights of the industry. Beyond Blocks event was sponsored by Wanchain, AllSpark, Gamebank. UTour and Mold. Some of the topics of the panel discussions were the state of Japan, governance in Asian markets, blockchain in education, blockchain based payments, challenges and future of blockchain, and decentralized exchanges. Wookyun Kho, CEO of MediBloc, was interviewed by Beyond Blocks on the first day of the event and had the opportunity to share what MediBloc project is about and how decentralized healthcare information platform could reinvent the medical industry.

MediBloc has signed a strategic partnership agreement on April 9th with Hanyang University Medical Center, one of the nation’s leading medical institutions. This is the third partnership announcement following the agreements between Oracle Medical Group (November 20th, 2017) and Kyung Hee University Dental Hospital (January 18th, 2018).

At the ceremony, both parties stated that they would work towards the same goal of building a blockchain-based PHR platform and that the hospital would give full support to its development.

“As a partner, we will carry out comprehensive discussions for our platform development,” said Eunsol Lee, co-founder of MediBloc. He added, “We will start with providing PHR platform and expand to integrating all services of MediBloc with Hanyang University Medical Center’s system. Both patients and doctors will find the integrated system very convenient and efficient.”

Hanyang University Medical Center was established in 1972 as the largest hospital in Asia to nurture health professionals who will contribute to the improvement of public health. It is one of the most prestigious medical institutions in Korea.

Kyung-heon Kim, director of the medical center, said, “We expect to advance the world’s health information system to the next level through MediBloc’s blockchain-based PHR platform.”

All participants, including healthcare professionals and patients that compose MediBloc health information ecosystem, are expected to enjoy expanded benefits from this partnership. Through this partnership agreement, MediBloc has once again proved its high practicality and achieved an opportunity to grow its business in the future.

I still believe in this project. It is undervalued. Although I bought their coins at 0,18$ and I am always in red, there is plenty space for partnerships and real progress. Korean team of project I believe is disciplined and hard working. We have to wait more, because health and in general medical sector is now very competitive with many upcoming projects at this time we are talking. Maybe the team has to pay better attention in promotion and marketing. In the European area (at least here in Greece) people are not aware of it and some they don't understand the whole concept. How could be implemented as a real life project and how for example their medical data privacy is guaranteed. Lets give to the team some more time to prove their work and be optimists. At the end of 2018 I hope the price will be 0,50$.
