Hello,

Where's the best place to purchase bitcoins and altcoins in the uk? I've tried Coinsebase but not luck, they are terrible with customer service and never get back to you.

Thanks
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

What did you find bad about coinbase?
You could always use local bitcoin or find a atm.
Could also try kraken

You can buy Bitcoin and Eth on Remitano; I always buy and sell Bitcoin with it: fast and safe.

You can buy altcoin on Bittrex when you have Bitcoin and Eth.

You should use your local exchanges because they give the best rates according to your currency at-least for me it does, I found few exchanges for UK not goona name them since never tried them myself you can find them easily on google do more research before using them though and for alt-coins you can use shapeshift.io used them multiple times and didn't face any issue.

Hi btcprospecter. Thanks for the recommendation!

Hi Spynz! If you are looking into Kraken, I will let you know that the quickest and most cost efficient method for you to fund your Kraken account is to navigate to Funding > Deposit > EUR and select "Fidor Bank AG (SEPA)". You can send Euro from a UK bank via SEPA transfer as your bank should be able to convert GBP to Euro before sending. These funds will be credited to your account as Euro which is our most liquid market. Please note that this transfer requires you to be Tier 2.

For sure there are local exchange on UK you can use them bu if still find them not a good one. You can use localbitcoins and also you can try to deal with someone here forum and do peer-peer trade but you have to use escrow for this deal.
@saoha remove your referral link if I'm not mistaken it's not allowed to put referral links through post because the space on our signature is enough with our PM.

I have used Bitstamp and anycoinsdirect,
they are EU based and in the case of anycoinsdirect have a good customer service
which I can personally recommend from one experience I have had.

There are not many popular UK exchanges in general. The ones I can think of are only coinfloor (https://www.coinfloor.co.uk/) and probably cex.io (https://cex.io/). Any other?
