Ideally you would receive trust when you proved to be trustworthy, which is when someone else risked something with you and you did not scam.

When on default trust levels then one has to follow a bit stricter rules when giving trust, in order to not bring the trustsystem out of balance. At the end it's not easy to gain trust. It takes a lot of time.

It's a good point. Anyone on the default trust list has a responsibility with every trust they give. Sometimes I believe certain default trust members are too quick to judge and banish users too quickly. Some of them give trust for just liking another person too which isn't how the trust system should be really.

Their actions weigh a lot in this community.
Especially since having negative trust can be a serious stigma on your account. People will naturally stay away from an account that has received negative trust ratings and you're as good as banished from practically every single signature campaign. Trust should be issued objectively and I find it unacceptable that people give trust to someone they like regardless of them being actually trustworthy.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Hi everyone, I would like to ask, how can we earn trust in this forum? I would like to earn trust Cheesy thanks in advance.

When it come to earning trust on the forum, its something you don't expect it coming and that is the one that worth it. If you do your activities with the sole purpose of earning trust, you will land in more trouble because that would be negating the rules of the forum of farming trust even if you have the money to pay for it. The best way to go about getting one is go about doing your things not every trust have to do with carrying out trades, managing a campaign, acting as escrow etc. It could be as easy delivering on clients project at the right time, or helping someone sort out some issues, keeping to your words from someone, busting a scam to save other people resources, ensuring the forum is clean of scammers and spammers etc because that trust is not regulated and it is based on someone emotions. Do well to contribute and someone might give you the desired opinion.

I think the main thing here is you should be trustworthy.
Be responsible enough to give back to all the campaigners what is properly due to them.
Dont judge others easily. Always give them the benefit of the doubt.
Always be true to your words.
Respect is earned as well as trust.

Hi everyone, I would like to ask, how can we earn trust in this forum? I would like to earn trust Cheesy thanks in advance.

Engage in transactions with others where you are being trusted by others, perform those transactions well, and if you impress people they'll leave you trust ratings.

Trust is largely overrated.

And don't ever ask for trust. If you do a few overzealous goons who've been here a long time will leave you negative trust for no fucking reason.

Also, regarding transactions don't try to offer escrow services, if you do the few (like 5) people who offer regular escrow services will talk shit to you and leave you negative trust simply because you're trying to be a new player in the market. The escrow industry on this forum, while legit, is literally a fucking racket. Collusion, etc.

You have something to say, HabBear?...

I actually removed the rating I left you a while back, I even PM'd you to let you know that I had done it.

You also know damn well why you received a negative rating in the first place. As a brand new member, you proceeded to offer escrow services with a brand new account, without anyone knowing you, and without any trust whatsoever. What did you expect?? You got warned the first time (you didn't get tagged) to build up somewhat of a reputation before you offered again. A few weeks later, you did the exact same thing again, which then resulted in negative feedback being left.

By the way, I don't do escrow on this forum, which if you had paid attention you would have noticed.. I can see where else this comment is being aimed towards, and I also know it was directed at me on top of that.

I don't recall anyone "shittalking" to you, but then again I am not an escrow so I don't know what happened during conversations I wasn't part of.

Don't be so God damn sour. You are supposed to be an adult FFS.

don't scam people and always be polite and professional show them that you deserve trust. and don't just look for positive trust feedback just enjoy the flow. we have known persona in this forum who are really reputated because of their professional work and that they are JUST.

I have seen many trust feedback in most of the campaign managers who really did their JOB well.

Earn Knowledge and Attitude at the same time and do not be greedy, People will give it to you if you deserve it.

You, like every member of this forum can leave comment in trust section of other user, but you can not give trust points (green trust).
Trust points can give only DT members, but to be honest I dont know how they become DT members (?) and it is my question in this topic..

Well if you take a look at the other thread you will see that there are others post here similar to what you are asking for. As many of them stated there trust is something which could not be given easily it is rather earned by working you're way through here thru providing a constructive post which contains a vital piece of information and by conduct a successful negotiations with someone here without taking full advantage of it meaning all the transactions are in your favor.

Positive trust is so hard to earn in this forum and is controlled by a select few who are listed in DefaultTrust. Trading alone with them wouldn't be sufficient for you to receive the green feedback; some of them only leave neutral points no matter how trustworthy you've become to them, thus cutting off your chances to be a part of the DefaultTrust list. While the trust settings on this forum seem to be easy to comprehend, it would only get complicated for those who are just starting out their brands since it will be called out multiple times by DT members if something doesn't look right on one's offerings.

The most important thing to keep in mind while doing business in this forum is to trust no one. Even people in the DT can fuck you up, see TradeFortress.

I have given you 1 merit for the very last line in your post: Trust No-one.

Any single individual can scam you, no matter how trustworthy they appear, The key to avoid being scammed (even by escrows such as myself and minerjones) is to check recent posts and transactions, and even then - if you are not 100% convinced that it is actually Zepher or minerjones you are talking to, ask for a signed Bitcoin Message or PGP message. Our PGP keys are on our profile pages.

To address the first part of your post - No, trust is not hard to earn. Remember that the Trust Network was created solely for use in the "Marketplace"  - not the rest of the forum. Elsewhere in this forum; yes - it is extremely hard to earn trust.

If you have goods for sale, sell them in the appropriate place. If you complete the deal right, the other party will usually leave you appropriate feedback.

well, I don't think that people will allow you to be an escrow if you don't have trust.
Proving yourself trustworthy in this virtual environment is truly a point to earn trust. The question will be, where do one start from to be an escrow?
