I have 21.000 NXT and I am double-minded about if I:

1) Keep NXT till November and get 10500 IGNIS for free

or

2) Convert all NXT to 21.000 IGNIS before the end of ICO

Yeah but if you get IGNIS for free in aidrop, then selling 10-20% of NXT for IGNIS after that doesn't seem like a bad deal. You can also just wait for it to dip..

You have 21000 nxt, if you wait the airdrop you will receive 10500 ignis for free. I think it's more profitable to wait for the airdrop then get in the action after, if you want to buy some more. After the airdrop some people will sell their received ignis so that will keep the price relatively stable.

then you deposit your NXT to your wallet and wait until the time of the Ardor Genesis Snapshot.

You get 0,5 IGNIS for each NXT on you wallet.

Trying to download the wallet to a windows vista laptop but won't work. Is it even possible with an antique like that? Do wallets exist for iPads???

Keep nxt, if you believe in nxt, these options are in fact nothing. Nxt is very good coin, you should not sell it. or sell half of the nxt
