There is no "moon" at all and nobody knows where is the limit and when it will be high enough to sell it. Because everyone is different - the limit is different for each holder.

Actually, it is a really good question. I wondered about the 'good' and satisfying price to sell Bitcoin many times.
At this point, I am just gonna assume that "the Moon" is simply bitcoin's never-ending struggle to reach higher and higher price.
I don't think we will see stable bitcoin price, it will be growing constantly - effectively pushing boundaries and changing people's perception of a 'good' bitcoin's price.

This will be varying for everyone because they have their own target profits that they want to hit before they sell their bitcoin. As for the price it will be increasing in time so we really can't set a moon here because if you see the price increasing and going past the moon you set, you'll just set another one until the orice breaks it again.

When i read a post from some newbies saying that the price is going to moon, or just posts like "bitcoin to the moon" "X coin to the moon" it makes me want to close my account and left this forum foverever, it is full of newbies only wanting to make bitcoin go up because they are so greedy and lazy to get a real job.
It is full of those people, there is no moon for me, i see it as an investment, not a cartoon that i have to predict where is the moon.

i think no, because the distant from earth to the moon is 384,400 km but the value of bitcoin these days are only 5000$  so i guess it will need to reach 384,400 btc before we can say that we are on the moon although thats a really big amount but i think its posible because bitcoins value tends to increase overtime .

If you bought at 200$ then nowit is 6000$ that is almost 30x times profit or 2900%.If bought at 20$ then it is 300x times profit and 29000% profit. But wait if it hits 60000$ then the profit again increases 10x times which is then called mars not moon.

I have a realistic Moon at $50 000 per bitcoin and then a unrealistic Dream Moon, where 1 Satoshi = $1 US. At that stage, we might have to shift a comma to make provision for a smaller unit than a Satoshi, but that is a problem for the future. I would retire very early and never look back again at $100 000 000 per Bitcoin.

The Bitcoin Cash fork and the Bitcoin Gold fork and all the coming forks will make this impossible. ^sad^

I am new to bitcoin, I don't own a single satoshi yet. So for me, I think bitcoin's moon would be $50,000 at least. Because I can see this figure above the clouds, pretty clear.

So let's see, distance of moon from Earth is roughly 360k kilometers, so for me BTC moon is around $360k. But honestly there is no fixes amount at which everyone will decide that this is the moon, finally BTC has reached it, people will just want it to rise it more. We saw this during $1k, $5k and will see in future also.

I'm quite a new holder of bitcoin and for me the moon is around $100,000, I know this thing will surely happen in the future but it's a long way to go, bitcoin will surely dump and pump but in long run bitcoin will become more valuable in the future. I am starting now to hold more bitcoin because i believe on bitcoin and people should believe on this, the moon is really reachable for bitcoin everything is possible.

The relationship of bitcoin and the moon is that bitcoin is said to be going to the moon very soon but as soon as bitcoin is very near to the moon, the moon get farther away. And then bitcoin would again target the moon, and the moon goes farther once again. And this is going ad infinitum. LOL.  But this is happening because the value of bitcoin is increasing ad infinitum as well.

for people who bought bitcoin at $20-$200, i am sure that they are very very happy now because they can sell their bitcoin to make a big profit even if they are only sell some part from the total amount. for some people, we are now at the moon but for the other people, we are not yet see the moon and we need to waiting more time. i think every people have their own goals and in what level of the price that they want to sell their bitcoin.

I feels that it is a really an interesting question for all. If you purchase one Bitcoin $200 but when you going to sale it then its price is $6000, then you would be on moon. And you can gain a heavy profit with it. So this relationship is very much profitable and as well as romantic too. Likewise moon which looks at top of our head. Bitcoin is reached that position where we feel it at top of our head.

It is part of the human nature, it is hard for people to be satisfied.

Even if you acquire the coin for a penny before considering its current price you may still not consider that you already hit the moon as long as you are seeing that the price is still increasing.

Personally if I see an increase on my investment for 1000% that is already the jackpot but that is only a personal perspective and every one has their own.

Moon just means when you make such a high amount of profit it is insane. If you take 100k USD and make 10x so you have a million then you see mooning. Very easy concept. Mooning is different for everyone but generally it means when it's sky rockets in value. I always  thought of 10,000 being the moon back in the day, but I think the whole idea is that the moon would be so far in the future and so hard to attain that it couldn't possibly be at 10k at this point. If you asked me back in 2015, I would have said 10k but now I'm thinking more like 50-100k.

Moon? Its endless because people wont really be able to satisfy theirselves as long they would able to know that theres still potential for the price to rise up even more. If we did already hit peak prices we do ask even for more which that moon cant really be reach up.It would depend on a certain person on what price point would be the moon range but i would tell you most people would really be greedy enough to ask for more.

Actually,it depends upon the price at which a person has bought his bitcoins.

If the person has already bought his bitcoins at $100,now he is actually landing in the moon.

If the person has just earlier bought bitcoin at $15,000,then today's price would not mean moon to him and he may consider a price of $30,000 to say that bitcoin marching towards the moon.

Even though I've been earning bitcoins since they were at $450, for me the moon is at $30-40k, since this is the price I'm going to sell 10-20% of my coins. Why not all coins? 100,000 US dollar is the moon for me because it is for me one of the historic and best performance bitcoin could ever achieved in the financial currency history if does hit that. I am actually considering moon in bitcoin as the growth for it. The moon for me are the pumps. Well, that is my perspective in bitcoin mooning because we don't have any specific value of bitcoin so that we can consider it as mooning.

In my theory, Moon will come when bitcoin reach new high level of price. So moon will come when the price of bitcoin is above $20.000 . Bitcoin also have relationship with lambo. Lol

Seriously, it's so hard for bitcoin for moon again due to the expensive fees when it happen. People are loss interest in bitcoin if the fee is too high.
